the same being apart of the public
lands

the county sold at said sale towit; all of lot
#2 in Block G in the Pipkin Plot of
the Town
of Lillington said plot registered in Book 160 page
600 alas all of lot # 1 in Block G
in the Pipkin plot of said Town of Lillington above referred
to,
And whereas the said O.J. Spears
complied
with the terms of said sale and by order of the Board
of Comissionere adopted Oct 3rd
1898
a deed was duly executed and delivered to said O.J. Spears conve#ing said land to him, And
Whereas
said deed has never been recorded and cannot now be
found, and Whereas since said Purcahse
and conveyance
Annie B. Caverniss by Mesne Conveyance from said O.J. Spears has become the owner of
said
property
and desires now to cure the defeat in hers/ title
due to the non registration of said
deed
to
O.J. Spears above mentioned.
Now Thereforej be it resolved
by the Board of Comissioners
of Harnett
County that J.D. Barnes Chm of said Board be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute
and deliver to said Annie B. Caveniss a deed quit claiming
and releasing unto her the said

To The Board of County Comissioners of Harnett County
We, the undersigned free holdees of the ® unty
of Harnett Constituting one fourth of the free holdeed of the proposed special school district
included within the following boundaries towit;
Beginning at Clarks Bridge an Upper Little River
runs with be line of District # 7 to skinners ford on Walkers Creek Up the said Creek to the
McDougald toad ,ua the said road to Jones creek, down Jones oreek to Upper Little River down the
said River to the beginning line.
Respeetfuly petition your honorable board for an Election
to accertain the'will of the people within the proposed special school district, whether there shall
be levied in said District a special annual tax of not more than thirty cents on the one hundred
dollars valuation of property and ninty cents on the Poll, to supplement the public school funds
which may be apportioned to said district by the county Board of education in case such special tax
is voted

ihereas,There has been filed with the Board of Comissioners of Harnett
County a petition signed by more,tham one JAf)d1%Y fifth of the qualified voters of Grove Township Harnett
county asking Sor an Election upon the question of issuing $30,000.00 of Bonds of Raid Township for
improving and building the roads of Grove Township under the provisions of Chapter 427 of the Public
Local Laws of 1913 Entitled An Act told Improve the Roads in Harnett County and for the.issling of Bonds
by the county and the several Townships therein and the said petition having beee}f duly canvassed and
ordered recorded
Be it Therefore resolved by the board of Comissioners in regular session and
the following members being present J.D. Barnes J.C. Byrd D.P. pay R.T. Johnson,.That an Election be
and the same is hereby called to.be held in Grove Township on March 12 1918 for the purpose of submitt-
ing to the qualified voters of sAid Township the question of issuing $30,000.00 of read Bonds as provid
-ad for )KA419fiV in the act herein referred ts; And it is further orderd that said Election be advert
-ise for thirty days in the Harnett Reporter published in Harnett County, from this date

that a now registration of the voters desiring to participate in said Election shall be had and for
that purpose We do hereby apped nt and Elect W.E. Nichols registrar for said Election and We do hereby
apppint and Elect H.R. Ryals and W.T. Hodges Poll holders for said Election and the said Registrar
and Poll holders are hereby regD1rcd Add divested to hold said -Special '716otion in iiioir`iariee with
Chapter 427 of the Public Local laws ad the General Assembly of 1913.
Be It revolved further at the
said Election those of the qualified voters favoring the issuing of said Bonds shall vote a ballet
having upon it the words "For Bond Issue" and the qualified voters opposing the said Bonds shall vote a
oallet having upon it the words Against Bond Issue.
It is futher reso lved by the Board that the said
registrar and Poll holders shall make returns of said Election as required by law.
It is further resolves
that the publiehti61)( of this resolution in/ the Barnett Reporter for 30 days shall constitute the
notice suffieeient of said Election,
