Mathews Neils Creek. under and by virtue of a resolution of the board Whereas, on the 3rd day of October 1898 of Comissionere of Harnett County adopted plat Xlj</,1'J(g$/ July 4th 1898 certain public lands of the county were sold and whereas at said sale O:J. Spears became the purchaser of the following lands, and the same being apart of the public lands of the county sold at said sale towit; all of lot #2 in Block G in the Pipkin Plot of the Town of Lillington said plot registered in Book 160 page 600 alas all of lot # 1 in Block G in the Pipkin plot of said Town of Lillington above referred to, And whereas the said O.J. Spears complied with the terms of said sale and by order of the Board of Comissionere adopted Oct 3rd 1898 a deed was duly executed and delivered to said O.J. Spears conve#ing said land to him, And Whereas said deed has never been recorded and cannot now be found, and Whereas since said Purcahse and conveyance Annie B. Caverniss by Mesne Conveyance from said O.J. Spears has become the owner of said property and desires now to cure the defeat in hers/ title due to the non registration of said deed to O.J. Spears above mentioned. Now Thereforej be it resolved by the Board of Comissioners of Harnett County that J.D. Barnes Chm of said Board be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver to said Annie B. Caveniss a deed quit claiming and releasing unto her the said lands above described. Shaw Auditor ihereas,There has been filed with the Board of Comissioners of Harnett County a petition signed by more,tham one JAf)d1%Y fifth of the qualified voters of Grove Township Harnett county asking Sor an Election upon the question of issuing $30,000.00 of Bonds of Raid Township for improving and building the roads of Grove Township under the provisions of Chapter 427 of the Public Local Laws of 1913 Entitled An Act told Improve the Roads in Harnett County and for the.issling of Bonds by the county and the several Townships therein and the said petition having beee}f duly canvassed and ordered recorded Be it Therefore resolved by the board of Comissioners in regular session and the following members being present J.D. Barnes J.C. Byrd D.P. pay R.T.
