The re,�ort .f tl&otion held in Coats School District on AuS!ist• 12 1919 on the
question of issuin.� ;;15,000.00 bonds for said District in accordance with the provisions
of Chapter 55 of the Public Laws of'1915 and amendments thereto Navin; been filed z'rit''l this
Board at a cu'.1 +neeting on August 14th, 1919, and nIntimsed for consideration to this date,
rosin on to be considered; this Board sitting in the capaci ty of a canvasain board, finis
the following facts, to -wit:
(1) That the said election was duly called ;tnd advertised as provided by l =aw and
:i -.1Cnordance with the orders heretofore '[,a.de by tihi3 Board.
(2) That the said election was in all. respects conducted as provided by law.
(3) That the total niunber of qualified voters in said District on date of said
eleotion was one hundre;i twenty t'irre (123).
,4) That of said qualified voters eiElity two (82) cast ballots "For School Douse
'3prid8" .
(5) That seventeen (17) cast ballots "A &ainst Schoolhouse Bonds ".
(5) Tilat twenty four (M4) qualified voters did not vote.
Therefore, it is considered, adjudged and declared that the proposed bond issue
for said District was approved by a majority of the qualified voters thereof.

to be attested by the Clerk of this hoard _•.nd ",_- Cosmty seal affixed thereto, fifteen bonds
in toe sum of X1000.00 each, ber.rtn; date of October 1st, 1919, and payable Oct. 1st, 1939, with
interest cotn,ons attached b -arinE interest at the rate of 5% per annum, payable semi- annually,
both princi-,ul <trl interest payable at t}1P iianover Wati.onal" lapis, New vor'V li ty; and t'le said
bonds are hereby declared to be a valid lien u,,on all the property sit_iate witlin the said Coats
S^.hool District., and to pay tale interest thereon as it may become due, and to provide a sinking
fund to pay the l,ri.n,�.'.ial tilNreOf at 1[uttiC :I ty , a tax levy of thirty .'.eIlts upon the '

dollars worth of property and ninety cents upon each taxable poll in said District is hereby
directed.
Upon motion of commissioner R.T. Johnson, seconded by commissioner ').P. Ray, the
above Resolution was adontrd; Those votinS in the affirmative being oorrunissioners Johnson, Ray,
Stewart and Byrd; those votinS in the negative being none.
It is furtnlar ordered that the said bonds when issued, shall be tt.Irned over to
the Board of Education for Harnett County for the piirpose of sale in accordance with the pro -
viaions of lave.
where -s, at _an election held at Coats, `dortil Carolina, on the 12th day of Aug.
19198 to ascertain the will. of the voters of Coats School District relative to the insurance
of $15,000*00 in 20 year bonds ,or %le construction of a schoolhouse for said District, the
said election carried favorably to such issue, and
whereas, the Hoard of Education for the county of Harnett have requested the
County Board of Commissioners to issue the said $15,000.00 20 year bonds, bearing 51 per annum
interest, payable semi - annually, in accordance with Chapter #55 of the Public Laws of 1915 annd
amendments thereto,
:low, therefore, we, the Board of Commissioners for the County of Harnett, in regular
session assembled on this the lst day of September, 1919, do hereby authorize the issuance of
said ;'15,000.00 bonds and the delivery of same to the Board of education of the County of Harnett,
for t.'.e ourpoze of sale; It is further ordered that said bonds shall run for a period of 20
years and be dated Oct. 1st, 1919, and bear interest at the rate, of 5;5 per annum, payable semi-
annually, which sh_:'1 be in denominations of $1000.00 each.
It is further authorized and ordered that, a tax be levied not exceeding 251 on
the $100.00 property and 75p; on the poll, sufficient to pay the interest on the said bonds and
provide a sinkinZ fund to pay the principal at maturity.
This resolution introduced and passed by the Board of Commissioners for the County
of Harnett, this the 1st day of Sept. 1919,
