R�AS, the petition of J.W. Thornton, I.F. Hicks and others; outtlified voters of
Averasboro Township, have filed a petition under the provisions of Chapter 427, Public Local haws
of 1913, and of Stu tutesamendatory thereof and siij;plementary thereto, prayin that An election be
oall.ed in said township, submitting to the qualified voters of Averasboro township the question
of issuing $50,000.00 in Bonds of said township, for the purpose of improvin- the public roads of
said township;
And Whereas, this Board has carefully examined said petition and has found that more than
the requisite number of the qualified voters of said township required under. said Statutes have
joined in said petition and that said petition complies in every resl,ect with said Statutes:
Vow, Therefore, Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County, that
an election be and the same is hereby called to be held in Averasboro township, the same to be
held _ind nondurted at the 1unicipal 3uildinZ in the town of Dunn in said *,.)wnship, on Tuesday,
the 22nd day of July, 1919, under the provisions of said Statutes, to ascertain the will of the
qualified voters of said township upon the question of issuinj $50,000.00 in bonds of said town-
ship for the purpose of itnprovin.� the roads of said township and. of levying; and eollectin:- a special
tax on all persona and subjects of taxation in said township for the purpose of pay;nZ the principal
and interest on said bonds as the same shall mature, and for the purpose of workin- the roads of
said township under the lrovision of said Stt�tutes, at which election those .;ual:fied voters favor-
ing the issuin7 , of said bonds and the levyinE of said special tax ma-ir vote a ballot nontainin_� the
words "FOR ROAD BOANDS", and those qualified. voters opposing tine same may vote a b_tllot containing
the words "AGAINST ,OAP 13ONDS ".

townshi: for said special election be and the same is hers -by ordered.
RESOLVED FURTITER: That H.A. Parker be and he is hereby appointed Registrar for said
elr t;-on, an,t R.W. - Taekson and Charles Thornton he and they are hereby appointed poll. holders for
said sianial election to be Meld on July 22, 1919.
Resolved Further, That the Clerk of this Board cause due notice of this election
to be published in fl-, ,Jnn Dispatch, a newspaiier published in the town of Dunn, in Averasboro
TownsM(p, Harnett County, and otherwise according to law.

SEAS, at an-election for Coats School District op the 12th, of August, 1919
to ascertain the will of the voters of said District relative the issuance of
$15000.00 in Twenty year bonds for the construction of a suitable schoolhouse
the election carried gavorably to such issue.
New, therefore, we, the Board of kizaatax= Education, for the County
of Hu rnett, in accordance with Chapter # 55 of the Public Laws of 1915, and
amendments thereto, do hereby request the County Commissioners for the County
of Harnett to issue $15000.00, 20 year bonds, bearing six per cent per annum
interest, interest payable semi - annually.
This resolution i1troduced and passed by the Board of Education of Harnett
County, this the let. day of September, 1919,
