We, the undersigned Registrar and Judr?es of Flection, pursuant to the orders of your
Honorable Board, have held and conducted an election in Buckhorn. Township, in Gal d county of
Harnett,for the ri.rpose of submi'tinm to the qualified voters thereof the prnposition or issuing
bonds in thn sum of Forty Thousand (f,40,000900) Dollars, in accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 427 of the Public -Local Laws of I?nrt' Carolina, Session 1913, and anreearle to a resolu tion
adopted by your Honorable 'Board, on the 1f'th day of October,19 -0; and we respectfully report that
said election was duly advertised as by law provided; that the rer -istra *.ion books were kept open
and the voters rn- istered in accordancA with the law; that the polls were kept open from sunrise

The report of .H.L?. Abernathy, R,enistrar, and ''.A. Avent and J.G. Spence, Poll Holders, hereto-
fore ap- minted to hold an election in Ruckhnrn Township for the purpose of submitting to the qualifieid
voters of said townshir, the question of issuing bonds in the sum of Forte Thousand (14,40,000.00)
Dollars,.f ,-r the improvement of the public roads -f said township in accordance with the provisions
of Phapter 42"7 of the Public -Local Laws of i;orth Carolina, Session 1913, and amendments thereto,
having been filed with this Board on December 6th,1920, upon consideration of said report this Board
in its capacity as a canvassing, Board finds the following facts:
1. T:nat said election was duly called and advertised as provided by law and in accordance with the
previous or ^era of this Board.
2. That said election was held on t':e 4th day of December,1920, and in all respects conducted as by,>
law provided.
3. That the total n:mbPr of qualified voters registering for s,.id election was 130.
4. That the total number of votes cast "For Bond Issue" was 76.
5. That the total number of votes cast "Against Bond Issue" was 12.
WHFRFFORF, it is considered, ad,jud ?ed and hereby declared that the proposed bond issue receiv-
ed the approval of a majority of the gli,�Aified voters of said township, and the. road commissioners
of said township are hereby declared to be authorized and empowered to issue bonds in the name of
Buckhorn Township in the sum of ?orty Thousand (6e40,000.00) Dollars, to run twenty years from date
and bear interest at the rate of six -per cent per annum, and the said bonds and interest are declared
to be a valid lien upon the proper }y of the sail township; and this Board hereby obligated itself
and its successors in office to levy and cause to be collected in said Buckhorn Townnahip sufficient
tax to -av the interest on said bonds and provide for a sinking fend for the rayment of the principal
thereof when due.
Upon motion of Commissioner W.J. McS`.ewart, seconded by Commissioner J.A. Buchanan, the above
resolution was adopted by a unamious vote of the Board and.ordered to be spread upon the minutes of
said Board. C Commissioners adjourned to meet December 20th. 1920.
