BE IS RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY C01'li:IISSIONEp.S OF HARNETT COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, that,
'VMREAS, by resolution duly passed by this Board upon the lot. day of March, 1920, bonds of
the Coats School District in the amount of Ten Thousand D;llars, were authorized to be Issued,
and,
WHEREAS, the County Board of Education has reported thesaid Bonds have been duly advertised
for sale and have been sold,
THERFFORE BE IT RISOLVF.D, that the form of said bonds shall be substantially as follows:

KNOW ALL Pa, BY THESE PRESENTS: That the Coats School. District of Harnett County, North
Carolina goknowledges itself to kxox owe and for value received hereby promises to pay to
bearer upon the let, day of ifiz,y, 1940, the sum of
ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
in lawful money of the United States of America, with interest thereon at the rate of six per
cent (61) per annum, payable semi - annually upon the let. days of.May and November of each
year, until the payment of the principal hereof, upon presentation and surrender of the proper
coupons therefor hereto attached, both principal and interest hereof are payable the Hanover
National Bank in the City of New York.
{ This bond is one of a series of ten Bonds of like denomination, tenor and effect, except as
to maturity, numbered from one to ten inclusive, aggregating Ten Thousand Dollard in amount,
j and is issued under authority of the General Laws of the State of North Ca-roliria, particulally
Chapter 55.of the Public Acts of 1915, and by virtue of the resolution duly passedby the Board
of County Commissioners of Barnett County on the let. day of Ma,rck, 19201 the question of is-
suing these bonds and of levying a tax sufficient to pay the interest thereon and a sinking fund
to redeem the principal at maturity having been duly submitted to the qualified voters of said
School District, at an election duly called and held at which election more than a majority of
all the qui}l.ified voters of said School District voted in favor of the issuanoe thereof.
It is. hereby certified and recited that all acts „ conditions and things required by law
to be done, precedent to and in the issuance hereof, in order to make this bond a legal, valid
and binding obligation of +the Coats School District, Harnett County, North Carolina, have been
done, have.happened and been performed in regular and due form; that this issue of bonds,togeth-
er with all other outstanding indebtednness of said SohoolsDistrict is not in excess of any
statutory or constitutional limitatiin of indebtedness; that proviaxion has been made for the
4 :T levy and cgllection of annual tax sufficient to pay the interest hereof, and to create a sink-
ing fund t9 redded the principal at maturity; that the full faith, credit and revenues, and all
&xAxrx&=x&k1x real and personal property of said School District, are hereby irTevoeably pledged
for the prpmpt payment of thisb bond and interest as the same matures.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, The Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, North Carolina, x
acting for'and on behalf of the Coats School District, has caused this bond to'be signed by
the chairman and Clerk of aid Board, the seal of said Board to be affixed, and the coupons to

1lhersas, a petition has been filed with the Hoard of County
Commissioners of Harnett County, rth Carolina. signed by more
them one -fifth of the qualified voters of Johnsonville Township,
asking that an election be called in said township in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter 427 of the Publlo -Local Laws of
Borth Carolina, Session 1913, for the purpose of passing upon
the question of issuing bonds for the i -iprovement of the public
roads of said township in the.sum of Forty Thousand Dollars.
and whereas. the Hoard finds that said petition is regular and
complied with all the provieens of said act, it is therefore re-
solved:
That an election be, and the same is hereby called to be held
at the regular voting place in said township on Tuesday. June 15th.

free - holders in the proposed special. School district, included within the fellowing.boundaries,to-
wit: Beginning at the „unth of Upper Little River; thence up Cape Fear to McAliaterge dam;
thence with the old McAlister Road to Upper Little Is, ver between Neal Parker and E.B. Reid; thence
down Little River to the beg.inning,kxg1xxtxg being Schoold District Ho. 2, white, Lillington
Township, Harnett County.
The purpose of this ppopeaid special tax levy is to build an additional school Room and
otherwise improve the School's facillities in said Distriett.<respectfully petition your Honor-
able Beard for an election to ascertain the will of the people within the proposed school than
