your Honorable Board z to order a special election to be held in sail School district on the 15th. it
lay of June, 1922, for the purpos- of voting upon the question of issuing not exceedinR Seventy Five
Thousand (t75,000.00) Dollars of serial bonds of sail School District and levying a sufficient ennui
tax to pay the sar t as provided in Chapter 87,idYt*m Public Laws of Extra Session of the G -reral
Assembly of 1920, the funds derived from said bond issue, in the evert of the issue of th- same to be
used exclusively by the undersigned Committee, or t'n -ir suitable successors in office for the pur-
pose of erecting and equipinR suitab'► school buillings for t'ne public schools of Duke District No.l
for equiping and furnishing• the same and for the jurchase of a suitable site or sites for sail build

OF SAID DISTRICT, AND A SPECIAL ANNUAL TAX OF NOTK TFORF THAN THIRTY CFN -S, ON ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
VALUATION OF PROPERTY AND NINETY VENTS ON THE POLL TO SUPPLEMENT 71M PUBLIC SCHOOL FUND THEREIN.
Whereas, a petition of the Committee of Duke School District No 1, included within the following
boundary, to -wit:
Beginning at the Duk- Bridge on the Cape Fear River and running thence as the -ow public road by
way of Spring Hill Church that leads to Dunn to the Black River BrilRep thence up Black River and wl
with the East line of Duke Townshipto the Northeast corner of said Township; thence as the North lire

than one fourth of the freeholders within the territory above described in whose names real -state

d- siRnated an•i appointed Judges of Flection; that notice of said election shall be given by publi-
cation at least twice in the Punn Dispatch, a newspaper published in Harnett County, *h& first pub-
lication to be at least thirty fa .s before said election, and by notice posted at the Courthouse
Door in LillinRton, Harnett Count*., and at three public plaaes within sail district.

stituted in lion thereof.f our(4) notes of like date and in all respects identioal except that they
shall be for the sum of Twenty Five Thousand($25000.00) Dollars each, now, therefore:
BB IT RRSf)LVED that the Chairman and Clerk of this Board be and they are hereby authorized to is
our said four notes to aggregate One Hundred Jet Thousand Dollars to be delivered only upon the sur
render and cancellation of sail outstanding note.
