Moved and_ seconded that proceeds of Anderson Creek Bond issue be deposited with Bank of Lillingtcn
ordered that allow Mrs. lucinda Gilbert �10.G0 per month, being an increase of f4.00 per month
I. -eved that Miss Camp see the condition of Mrs. J.N.B,rnett and report by the 15th. Lives at
Fineview in Barbecue Township.
Ordered that Highland Farm in Barbecue Township be reduced to X17.50 per acre.
Moved and seconded that the request of Bank of V,,rina for a refund of a portion. of the
money paid bu daid bank for the certificate of tax sale of the land of G.W.Howard for taxes of
1920, be refused.

wholesale prices in all cases possible.

To the Board of education of Harnett County:
We, the µndersigned citizens and duly qualified electors of Lafayette School District, 1Ie�sotr
Creek Township, who have resided in said district for a period of twelve months and more prior to tit
this day do hereby most respectfully petition your Honorable Board that an election be called and he
held under Chapter 136, Cectjon PJblic :school Laws 19L3, for the purpose of submitting to
the voters of said school district the question of levying annually and additional special tax for
ruhcols of twenty cents on the one hundred dollars valuation of iroperty, both real and personal, th
the same to be additional to the thirty cents special school tax now levied in .rid district.and
?revicusly vctea. The boundaries of said didtrict are as follows:
Beginning on Cape fear River at mouth of Hectors' C eek and follows down said river to the
Mouth Of ..eills Creek. thence up Neills Creek to the mouth of Viatery Branch; thence up y1 -e branch Wet
West including the lands of J.R.Rambeaut, D.Ifi.Spenue,C.K. Smith to Hectors' Creek; thence down Hec-
tcrs Creek to bridge near R.T.Johm.eens' residence aiaagx or to the North line of District #1;
as formerly established; thence along the line including the R.T.Johnson property and the Green W.
Jchnson estate back y(. Hector's Creej; thence down Hectors Creek to the beginning.

Whereas a petition signed by fort. qualified voters, LaFayetie5chocl District, Hectors Creek
Township, and duly approved a -d endorsed by the chairnan and secertary 6f the Board of 3ducation of
H�nett County, asking hat an election be called for the purpose of bubmitting to the cualified
vo*1rB of said ychocl istrict the question of levying for school purposes and additional special
school tax of twenty cents on the ode hundred dollars valuation of property, real and personal.
It i- now ordered by the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County, that a ppeci4l election
be held in said schcoldistrict on Tuesday, October wi, 1924, at the regular voting P±Kx precient for
Hectors Creek Township, for the purpose of submitt"ng to the qualified vottrs of said School District
the question of levying for schccl purposes an additional special school tax of twec:ty cents on
the one hundred Dollars valuation of property, real and personal.
It is ordered that there shall be a new registratio:: of the qualified vottre of the said
school district for said election, and notice of the election and new registrationbe made as
provided by law.
It is further ordered that C.W. Matthews be appointed Registrar, and that P'.L. Ballard and
W. J Norris be appointed judges of said election.

The following Resolution was introduced and read to the Board:
Be it repolved by the Board of County Comir,issidners of Harnett County:
1. That the.highest and best bid received for the w50,000.00 of 6$ Schco_ Building Bonds of
the Anderson Creek School Districy, this day offered for sale, is the bid.subr;itted by Stranahan,
Rhrris and Catis,Inc, offering ;53,580.00 and accrued interest to date of delivery, and said bids
Is hereby accepted the said bonds are Ilereby tffzzzd ordered to be duly executed, issued and
delivered to s,.id purchaser on compliance with the terms of said bid as stated,
2. That ive have received a report of election in proper form and signed by the election officer
duly appointed and qualified, for the special election in Anderson's Creek School District,
Showing that a new registration was held for said election and the total number of votes register
ed was 190,; and that the election was properXy held on the 29th. day of July, 19:4, and 116
ballot were cast for the issuance of ,50000.00 School Bonds and the levying of a tax for the
.ayment thereof, and 31 ballots were cast aE,ainst _he issuance of :,50,000.00 Schobl bonds, and
the levying of a tax for the payment thereof; and we do hereby approve the said report and do
judicially pass upon the returns of the said election do determine and declare the said

lection carried ip favor of the issuance of $50ry000.o0 School Bonds, and the levying of a tax

3. That we Go hereby apprve the notice of election and new registration, as same were published
in the Harnett County liews, Lind we do determine and declare that the said notice was duly author-
ized by this.Board as the notice of election and new registration as required by law.
4. That the advertisements of the sale of said bonds in the Ilarnett C unty News, and the Green
sbcrc Dailey News ie hereby approved, the Greensboro Dailey News being determined a proper finan-
cial or 'trade journal, in which to publish the said Notice of Fake.
5. That the said bonds shall be in the denomination of '1000.00 each and shall be numbered
consecutively.from one to f fty both inclusive, shall be dated jppt. let. 1924; shall bear inter-
est from their date at the rate 9f 6 per centum per annum with the interest payable sekiannually q
and both principal and interest payable at the Hanover National Bank in y:kx New York City; shall
be executed with the written signature of the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Harnett

impressed thereon, and the coupons shall be exevuted with the facsimile signature of said

Know all men by these presents that the County of Harnett, State of North Carolina, is justly

On the first day of September, 19—with interest thereon, at the rate of six per cent per annum,
payable semi,- annul ly on V.e firs dcy of September and the first day of March of each year, f rom

and surrender of the annexed interest coupops as they severally dall due. Both principal and
interest of this bond are payable in gold coin of the United �-tates of American of the present

This bond is one of fifty bonds of the like date, and arr.ount and tenor, except as to mature -
ties ' numbered consecutively from (1) to (50) issued under the authority of and in full complianc
vaiththe Constitution and Laws of North Carolina, with particular reference to Chapter 136,North
Cc.rclira, Public Laws of 19'3, and for the purpose of acquiring, erecing, enlarging, altering
and equipping school buildings and purchasing sites therefor ip Anderson's Creek Scholl District
in said county.as set forth in said law, and is registerable as to principal.
It is hereby certifired and recited that all acts, conditions and things required to be
done, happer, and exist, precedent to and in the issuance of this bond, have been d:_r.e, have
