County Commissioners met in regular session all members being present. Also Mr. Young,Atty.
Ordered that House and lot of Mrs. H.M.Pittman in Averasboro Township be reduced from $6000.00
to $5500.00
Ordered that re uce building and lot belonging to J.W.Thornton known as Luther Jackson lot
on W. Edgerton Street.to $2900.00
Ordered that reduce &rnett Oil and Fertilizer Company's property from $20000.00 to $18000.00
Ordered that E.W.8"th's la#d be reduced to $60.00 per acre
Ordered that reeuoe R.W.401lier estate from $2500.00 to $1250.00 in NeillsCreek Twp.
Ordered that release Joshua Beasley of $1250.00 property listed by error in 1923.
Ordered tb&A Bridge accoss Little River known as Sallys Bridge be repaired and Road Commissions
of Lillington and Stewart's Creek to supervise same.
Ordered that $50.00 per month be allowed to Unit of National Guard located at Dunn,N.C.
Ordered that W.J.MoStewart and Jae. A. Taylor be appoided a Committee to investigate value
of Erwin Cotton Mills Co. in Duke, N.C. which was raAted to $80.00 per acre on July 14th.1924.

"Be it resolved iy the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County approve the County School
Budget for $6000.00 in addition to the amount approved on July 14th. 1924. Also that this Board
approve the budget of Board of Education for 5 trucks in addition to number of trucks approved

Ordered that H.A.Edge be re- appointed for another year at the same salary as receiving at present.
Ordered that retain Miss Bridge for another year.
Ordered that Jas. A. Buchanan, W.Y. McStetart. and E.F.Young, atty. be and they are hereby
appointed a committee to have settlement with Sheriff LoArtan and that said Committee meet with
the Sheriff on Monday, Aug. 18th. for that purpose. `/
Modeved and seconded that Ir. Taylor be authorized to borrow 010000.00 for purpose of paying \
interest due.

"Resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County Shat the Chairman of said Board
be directed to execute a note in the name of Harnett County, to be attested by the Clerk, for
Ten Thousand Dollars($10,000.00) payable ninety days after date, to provide funds for necessary f
County expenses in anticipation of taxes lawfully XxxxxxKdx levied by said County, and to pledg C
the full faith and credit of the said county to the payment of said obligation at maturety;
and said Chairman is authorized to sell said note and turn the proceeds thereof into the General
Funds of said County.
