Ordered that Miss Camp visit E.F.Bullard and see if condition as fit for aid of County(Barbeaue) Ordered that the matter of National Guard be continued to let. -"onday in August. Moved that pay Mrs. J.P. Parker $3.25 for Bedding for Laboroer's work on building.(Co.Home) $10.00 was resolved from J.P. Parker as board of laborers who were at work on County Home. J.C.Senter offered his resignation as Commissioner and after being requested by the entire Board to withdraw his resignation, stated that his business was such that he was compelled to insist upon same. Resignation was then accepted with regrets of the entire Board. Ordered that E.F.Young be and he is hereby instruced to bring suits against all persons whose lands were sold for taxes on the let. Monday in July, 1923 and prior thereto, that has not been redeemed before August 1st. 1924. CERTIFICATE OF SPECIAL TAX ELECTION RETURNS. Whereas on May 5th. 1924s there was presented to this Board a petition signed by more than twenty five duly qualified voters of School District No 1. Ftewart's Cree# township, and endorsed by the Board of Education of Harnett County asking this voard to call a special elec- tion in said school district for the purpose of submitting to the voters the question of levying an additional special school tax of twenty cents on the hundred dollars valuation of property real and personal; And, Whereas, this board called said election to be held on July 1,1924 „ at the regular voting precint in stwart's Creek Township, and appolAted C.M.Allon.Registrar,and L.R.Byrd and F.J.Bethune, Judges of the election, and that a new registration be had; And whereas, a report of said election signed by C.M.&len, Registrar and L.R. Byrd and F.J.Bethine, Judges of election , has this day been submitted and made to this Board and said report states that 113 persons registered for said election and that the registratio books were lapt open as by law provided; and that the election was duly held on July 1,1924, arA that 69 votes were cast for the levying of the additionals special tax of twenty cents on the one hundred dollars valuation of personal and real property and that 30 votes were cast against levying said special tax; And whereas, 69 votes being a majority of the voters registered.
