We, the undersigned, constituting tvaenty five qualified voters in school district #1,
Stewartts creek township, Harnett County, North Carolina, having resided in this District 12
months and more do hereby petition your Honorable Board for an election to ascertain_tkmx:i:kl.
whether there shall be levied annually a special tax for schools f twenty cents on the One
Hundred dollars valuation of property, the same to be additional to the thirty cents tax
on the one hundred dollars valuation previously voted, making a total special tax for schools
of fifty cents on the one hundred dollars valuation of property, The boundaries of said
di stric:y in which the election is to beheld are as follows:
Beginning at a point where the Linden Scho:1 District line in Harnett County touches the
Cape Fear River, and runs thence with this line across Stewart's Creek township to the old
Atkinsi Road ; thence North along this road about one and one half miles to Sam McDougaid's
South land line; thence North to Upper Little River; thence down said River to Cape Fear
River; thence down Care Fear River to the begin -.ing.

Creek* Township, and duly approved and endorsed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Board
of Pducation of Harnett County asking to be perkitied to vote :n the question of levying
for school purposes an additional special schoc.l tax of twenty cents on the Cne Hundred
Dollars valuation of property, real and personal, was this day presented to this Board:
It is ordered that a special election be held in said School District on Tuesday, July 1
1924, at the regular voting precint for utewart's Creek Township, for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified voters of said school District the question of levying for the
school purposes an additional special tax of twenty cents on the one hundred dollars valuation
of property, -real and persona; and that C.M.-Allen be appointed registrar, and that Lonnie
Byrd and Frank Bethune be appointed Judges of election. It is ordered that there shall be
a new registration of the qualified voters of ssaid schc.l district for said election
and that notice of the election and new registration be made as provided by law.

To The Board of Education of harnett County:
We the undersigned citizens and residents of Long Branch School District, Averasboro #10
Harnett County, North Carolina, and who have redided in said Long Branch School- District, Aver-
asboro #10 for at least twelve months prior to May 1, 1924, most respectfully petition your
Honorable Board to authorize the citizens of said district to vote on the question of issuing
bonds in the-sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars($30000.00) and levying a tax for the paynent
the eof for the purpose of erecting within said distric$ a school building:
fBeginning on Yingo where Harnett- Cumberland and Sampson Counties join and runs thence in a
general westerly direction with the Barnett- Cumberland line to Black River; thence up said
river as it meanders to the former county line* and to ti:e Dunn and Fayetteville Road; thence
ab ut -last to the Dunn - Clinton road; thence down said wrad Dunn - Clinton Road to Pope -- ranch;
