The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ralford with all members
present. Also I.R.Williams, Bounty Attorney,
The request of Millie. Watson for Hospital treatment was refused on account
insufficient funds.
It was ordered that the bill of A B. Adams for serging tax notices be
turned over the J.S. McLean, County Auditor for invesflgation.
It was ordered that report of J .0. West.; Collector of back taxes, be
accepted and ordered filed and that check for 000. ?9 be turned over to Go.
Auditor.
Et was ordered that budget presented by County Auditor be ordered filed.
It was ordered that the County atty. and aunty Auditor determine the
amount of taxes due by A.G. Blanchard to the 9punty and upon payment of same
that the County make deed for 331 acres which was formerly owned by A.G.
Blanchard.
It was ordered that the former

It was ordered by the Board that J.S. Mo'ean, County Auditor, accept

428, Section 805, subsection (8) pf the Public Laws of 1931, and to issue
receipts for same.

The Board of Commissioners met in regular session with all members present:

It -was ordered that report of L.M. Chaffin„ C.S.C. be accepted and filed
and that checks for $76.95 and $9.50 be ordered - turned over to tiditor.
It was ordered that the salary of the County Health officer be reduced from
475.00 to $50.00 per month.
It Itas ordered that report of Dr. Wyatt be accepted and ordered filed.
It'was ordered that report of J.O.West, Collector of back taxes be accepted
and filed and that check for $639.78 be- ordered turned over to auditor.
It was ordered that Miss McQueen, Welfare officer and Dr. Peede, County
Health officer investigate the condition of J.E. Norris and report.to Board.
It was ordered that the Lawyers of the Pounty and other interested parties
be,envited'to meet with the Boerdof Comtuissioners to discuss the possibility
of, reating a County Cadrt. This meeting will be held on ,ugust lOth. in
joint session with the Board of Commissioners of the Towaa.of Dunn.

by the said A ?G. Blanchard and'hew ownedby the County,

RESOLUTION:
RESOLVED BY THE Board of Commissioners of Harnett County that if any tax
payer desires to pay taxes due or to become due by him for the year 1931 under
6e:clion 805- Sub - section -8, Chapter 428, Laws of 1931, in advance of the gppoin
Mont of a neS tax collect pr to succeed the present incnmbrent, any suchttaxes
may be paid to Steadman McLean, suditor of the `'ounty, who is hereby appointed
an agent of the county for said purposes, such collections to be made by the
Auditor without compensation, except as the same is covered by his regular
salary as Auditor.
