McLean be appointed temporary thalami Clerk to the Board during the illness of Edwin Harrington, Clerk to the Board. It was ordered that Granger E. Norris be relieved of Poll tax for the year 1931. It was ordered that report of Mrs. T.R. lsrown, °upt. of Go. Home be accepted and filed. It was ordered that Walter Chuxnley and `'o be given an extension of thirty days to complete audit, this giving themx until Aug. lst.1931 to make report. RESOLUTION : It was ordered by the Board, that the lands described in deed of trust, executed by A. ti.Shaw and wife, to H.McK.Salmon, Trustee, for Central Investment recorded in Book 224, page 281 be released from further taxation for the year 1928 upon the payment of a pro rata tax on a valuation of 44000.00 plus interest and four - fifths of Court costs; for year 1929 upon the payment of pro rate tax on a valuation of 44000.00 and costs of sale; and for the year 1930 upor_•the payment of pro rata tax on a valuation of 44000.00. Be it further resolved that the officers and attorneys charged with the collection of the above mentioned taxes issue proper receipts showing full payment of the aofrsaid taxes, when the same are paid. It was ordered by the Board th &t no allowance be made for the burial of W.R. Strickland and that Mr. d.L. Hatcher be notified of the action of the Board. It was ordered that an appropriation of $150.00 be made in budget for Negro Extension work in the "ouity. It was ordered that John W. It was ordered by the Board that Miss Mcqueen be requested to notify Dan McCain of the Sanitorium that W.L. Guy will be a charge of the Uounty at the regular rate of 41.00 per day until further notice. It was ordered that W.T. Messer be allowed 47.00 per month for the care of Mrs. Mary Norris. It was ordered that statement of Board of Education sowing the need of $10,060.45 for school purposes be accepted and filed, RESOLUTION: WEEREA:S, certain lands situated in the County of Harnett have been foreclosed for non - payment of taxes prior to the year 1930; and whereas R.G.B. Shaw, Tax Collector, is charged with taxes on said lands fox year 1930: Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Auditor of Harnett dbunty be and he is hereby empowered and authorized to issue a release to R.G.B.:Shaw, Tax co lector for each piece or parcel of labd to which the 0cu.nty of Harnett holds title by reason of tax foreclosure suits, said release to show the, lands so re- leased from taxation for year 1930 only. Revenue Anticipation notes, bearing 6% interest, for a like amount of Harnett County, N.C. 6$ notes, maturing July 20th. 1931. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman, the "kerk of this Board, the bounty Accountant, and the County Attorney, be and -they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said notes and the State Treasurer is hereby requested to deliver the same in accordance with said exchange on receipt of a like face amount of notes of said county maturing July 20th. 1931, said notes to be cancelled and delivered to the proper county officials. ON MOTION duly seconded, a roll -call was had, and all of the five members were present and voted in favor of said resolutions, none being absent. Talley of 4 75.00 each for 15 of the best mules belong- ing to the bounty was refused. It is ordered that J.O.West release that lot described in that deed of trust from J.f.Stric kland to I.R.Wiliiams, Trustee, recorded in Book 207, page 276, upon the payment of one -fifth of the court costs if any suit has been started, said costs to include one -fifth of attorney fees and the payment of taxes on the valuation of 41000.00 real estate, being the value of said lot, and the further payment of taxes on personal property of $350,00; the said col lection to be made by J.0. West to include lawful interest;. It 'ts ordered that J.S. Mclean, County Auditor, be and he is hereby author- ized to release from further taxation for the year 1929 that lot described in that decd of trust from J.E.Strickland to I.:.Williams, Trustee. recorded in Book 207, at page 276, upon payment of taxes on the said lot valued at 41000900 and the'further payment of taxes on the personal property listed bu J.E.Strick- land in'the sum of 4235.00. It is ordered tht R W B Shawm Tax Collector, be and he is hereby authorized to release from further taxation for the year 1930 that lot desor bed in that deed of trust from J.E.Strickland to I.R.Williams, Trustee, recorded in Book 207, page 276, upon the payment of taxes on the said lot valued at 41000.00 and the further payment of taxes on the personal lroperty bisted bye J.E. Strickland in the sum of 4185.00. It was ordered that B.C.
