The Board of County ommissioners met as Board of Equalization for the purpose of adjusting complaints as to real estate valuations through- out the County. It was ordered by the Board that the cleared land of Alexander 6prunt and Sons in Barbecue Township be raised frorp $25.00 per acre to $30.00 per acre. It was ordered that the Cleared land of Never Fail Lend wompany ky in Barbecue Township be reduced from $110.00 tto$35.00 per acre/ It was ordered that the land of Garland Hood in Anderson's Creek Township, (640 acres), be reduced from $11,000. to #9900.00. Also ordered that the valuation of 4 pack houses be raised from $300. to $1200. It was aloe ordered that seven other buildings be increased in valuation from $300. to $1500. It was ordered that the cleared land on the 100 acre tract of Dr. L. 1L. Edwards in Upper Little River township be reduced from $50. per acre to $45. per acre. It was ordered that the 503 acre tract listed by Shepard and White in Jiansotille be segregated ind valued as follows: SO acres cleared land at $20. per acre -- $1600.; 70 acres waste land at 5 per acre - -- 4350.; and 353 acres cut -oter land at $10. per acre- -- 35.30 Buildings valued at $2,000. The above values plus 10% is the total 1931 valuation placed on this tract by the Board. It was ordered that the cleared end of C.P.Hauley in Upper Little River township be raised from $30. per acre to $40.per acre. It was ordered that the cleared land of J. D. Champion inBuokhorn Township be raised from $30. pew acre to $40. per acre. Itxsasxmxisxsdxtkatx June 22, 1931. The Board of Commissioners met in call session and all members were present. It was ordered by the Board that the County execute lease to The State Highway Commission for location of prisbnnsite on County property subject to esceptlons to be planed in contract by county attorney. It was ordered by the Board that the lease prepared bythe county attorney leasing county property tax to the State Highway Commission for a period of two years be accepted. It was ordered that A. E. Holder, Supt. of Roads, deduct from wages of all employees the amount of taxes due the county of Harnett when these wages are due on June 30th. I$ was ordered that J. N. Fuquay be appointed Vice - Recorder at Recorders court of Harnett county. It was ordered that the 37 acre trail; of land belonging to the Southern Lands Sales Corp.,in Averasboro Twosnhip, be reduced from $1330. to $755. It was ordered that 'me 5 acre tract of land of Nora Bailey in Lillington township be reduced from $100. per acre to $75.00 per acre. It was ordered that the valuation of the Sally Brown Estate in Lillington township be raised from $40. per acre to $75. per acre. It was ordered that the cleared land of Mrs. S. A.Thornton in Grove township be medueddfrom $45. per acre to $ 35. per acre. The value of the buildings thereon be 'raised from $285. to $335. It was ordered that the house and lot of E. C. West in Dunn, be • reduded from $900to $200. on account of fire. It was ordered that the house and lot of Hirman Haggett in Lillington township be valued.at $2250. It was ordered that the house and lot of 0. h. Biggs in Lillington township be valued at $2250. It was ordered that the assessment, of $6,600. placed on the Gulf ARBEining 00. lot and buildings in Averasboro Township by the Board of Assessors be.accepted.
