August 4, 1930.
The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with
all the members present together with J. 0. West, County Attorney. The
Meeting was called to order by the Chairman aid the minutes read and approved.
It is ordered that the county Land Sales be continued from day So
day until the first Monday in Sept.
It is ordered that Mrs. Kizzie D. Wade of Averasboro township,
be allowed $7.50 for the month of August.
It is ordered that Archie Ray of Lillington # 3, be allowed #5.00
per month for keeping Henry Matthews.
It is ordered that Mrs. Shep McPhail of Lillington, R #3, be allowed
$5.00 per month for keeping Cattie Morrison,
It is ordered that the County pay to G. D. Davis, 345 Crosscreek
St. Fayetteville, N.C. one month rent for August for V. B. Henry, the'
amount $5.00.
It is ordered that a committee to value the property of A. E. Martin
in Averasboro Township, formerly owned by 0. B. Pope, and said property to
be listed for the year 1930 as reported by said committee-, stewart Turlington
0. H. Pope, and J. 0. West, appointed as committee. It appearing that said
property was not assessed in 1927.
It is ordered that R. G. B. Shaw, Tax O01, refund to the Insured
Mortgage Bond Corp. of N. C. Taxes which have teen paid by said Corp. on
property owned by G. T. Hodges.Avei- township. It appearing that the said
Corp. paid taxes on $750.00 valuation above the property that it was
interested in.
It is ordered that the County defray the expenses of the Commissioner
and Auditor who attend the Annual meeting at Wrightsville Beach Aug 12, to 15t
and it is ordered that the Clerk forward to the Secy'- Treas. of the Associatio
of Commissioners at Littleton, $5.00 dues for Harnett County.
It is ordered that J. E. Dupree be appointed to investigate the case
of relief of L. S. Atkins of Lillington, and to make recommendations at
next meeting.

lst.The party of the first par agrees to advance to the party of the secon•
part the sum of Ten Dollars 1$10.00) for each tax suit brougit, uhe sum to be

Dollars l$7 00 for each suit when final judgment is signed, provides however
the advanced a torney fees at no time shall 'exceed the Totaj. amount o1 taxes
collected.
2nd. The party of the second part agrees to collect all taxes, penalties a
cost including attorneys fees, and pay same to the County Auditor and the
advanced fees authorized by-the terms of this agreement shall be deducted in
final settlement between'theparties hereto. It being understood and agreed 'th.t
the party of the second part shall receive the same commissions and suit fees

stipulated-in former contract, this agreement - modifying such former contract
only to the extent of fees authorized to be advanced to the party of the
second -part by tie party of the first part.
