edged itself indebted and for value received promises to -pay to Bearer, or, if
this bond be registered, to the registered holder thereof, the sum of
ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.($1,000) on the first day of July, 19� and to pay the
interest thereon from the date of this bond at the rate of FIVE PER CENT (5%)
per annum, payable semie- annually, on the first day of January and July in eaci
year, upon presentation and surrender of the annexed coupons therefor, as they sever -

issued for the purpose of purchasing the necessary land and erecting the necessary
building and equipping•same to carry on at least a six months school -tern in Angier
School District of Harnett County, same being a part of the uniform State
system of Public schools required by the Constitution, under and pursuant to Tie
County Finance Act and a resolution duly adopted by the Board of County Commiss-
Toners of said County;
It is hereby certifi$ed;, recited and declared that all acts, conditions
and things required by the Constitution and Statutes of the State of North
Carolina to exist, happen and be- performed, - precedent to or in the issuance of
this bond, exist, have happened and have been performed, in due form and manner,
and that this issue of bonds, together with all other indebtedness of the County
of Harnett, is within -every debt and other limit prescribed by the Constitution and

cy Hiram Baggett, and wife, Dollie iioore BY:-igett to Julian Price, Trustee, for
Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Co. recorded in the office of the Rejistere
of Deeds of Harnett County, in Book 218, pale 463, be released from further
taxation for the years 1Q27, 1988 and 1929, upon the payment by Julian Price,
Commissioner, of a sum a al •�u the taxes for the years 1927, and 1928, and 192
on a valua.tio: of $7800.00 plus the total personal property tax of Hiram
Baggett, and wife, and all legal costs and penalties incurred by the County of
Harnett.
And it is further ordered that the County Attorney, County Auditor
and County Tax Collector issue a proper receipt showing payment for the years
above stated by the said Julian Price, Commissioner.
TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COMMISSION ?ERS OF HARNETT COUNTY:
The petition of Julian Price, Commissioner, respectfully shown that he,
under a decree of Judge C. 0. Lyon, foreclosed that lot situated in the Town of
Lillington, North Carolina, fully described in that deed of trust executed by
Hiram Baggett, and wife, Dollie Moore Baggett to Julian Price, Trustee for
Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Co. duly recorded in the office of the Regist
of Deeds of Harnett County, in Book 218, page 463.
That an investigation of the tax records of,Harnett County shown that
Hiram Baggett, and his wife, Dollie Moore Baggett have not paid the taxes due
the county of har;etu for tne years 1927, 1928, and 1920.
That the lot which this petitioner foreclosed was valued during the
assessment of 1927 at $7800.0.:.
That another lot situated in said Town of Lillington, listed for taxatio
by Hiram Baggett, during the assessment of 1927, was valued at 43500.00.
That your tetiti,ner desires to pay the taxes on the land valued at
$7800.00 together with all personal property tax, interest, penalties and Costs,
which Hiram Baggett, and his wife, Dollie Moore Baggett oiie the County of
Harnett for the years above set forth.
WHEREFORE, your petitoner respectfully prays; That this Boare of Comm.
pass such order authorizing the County Attorney, the County Auditor and the
Tax Collector to release the said lot foreclosed by this petitoner upon the
payment of the taxes for the year 1927, 1928 and 1929, in the manner set forth
in this petition.
