It is ordered that the privilege tax of F. M. Beacham,OJ. W. Ezzell and B. B. Lamm be reduced to fifty ($50.00) Dollars for the year 1929 -30. RELE SES It is ordered that U. L. Hemingway be relieved of poll .tax fog 1929, It is ordered that E. C. Hemingway be released of $600,00 tax on personal property listed for 1929, The property listed through error. It is Ordered that the interest.on taxes of Sol Isaacs in averasbOto tnwhip. for the year 1927, be released upon payment of principal & cost. It is ordered that J. 0. West Co. Atty. be permitted to settle with J. E. Butts for taxes 1927, in Neill's Creek township listed in the names of J. K. Upchurch estate, Floyd Upchurch, & Bill Upchurch at § - -% flat interest, there being four minor children of J. K. Upchurch 8: Taxes to be paid not later than Nov 6, 1929. ORD R R NORTH CAROLINA, HARNETT COUNTY, IN THE MATTER OF ASSESSED AGAINST FORMERLY CLAIMED B. J. MCFARLAND TA XES LANDS BY O R D E R THIS CAUSE COu!ING ON TO BE HEARD before the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett Oountyet their regular meeting held on Monday, November 4th, 1929, and bein heard -upon the petiti9 filed in said cause, and it having appeared to the satisfectio -of said Board that the lands in question have ben erroneously listed for taxation for the respective years 1926, 1 927, 1925, and 1929, and th said lands should have been listed as only twenty -nine (29) acres instead of fifty -two (52) acres; and the Board being of opinion that $300.00 is a just and fair valuation of said lands. NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered. by the Board that the listings of said lands for the respective years 1926, and 1929 inclusive be amended to show a listing of only twenty -nine (29) acres at a valuation of $300.00 and the County Auditor and County T@;x Collector are hereby directed to make such changgs upon the record and to calculate taxes which should be due on said lands for these respective years, and they are hereby authorized to accept payment of sums so calculated and upon this new basis in full settlement of taxes due upon said lands for the respective years 1926 -1929 inclusive. It is ordered that the county borrow the necessary fund to apply to the Seocial districts No. 21 and 71 and the above special districts are to bare the expense of borrowing the necessary -funds The Committee appointed by the Vice Chairman to confer together with the Committee from the road board, Stewart Turlington, Wm. Morgan, with the State Highway Commissioners, as to repairs needed for the Bridge at Erwin, over the Cape Fear river, and if necessary employ some contractor to make the repairs. It is ordered that Butler Bros Inc, pay a privilege taxes of $12.50 instead of $50.00. It is ordered that those who despence of gas alone shall pay O_5.00 per tank privilege tax. TO THE BOARD OF:COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HARNETT COUNTY. WHEREAS, There has been created in your Board a vanancy by reason of'the death of Mr. John McLeod, a member of your Board: AND WHEREAS, Under the law the Clerk of the Superior Court is empowered to fill vavancies in the Board of County Commissioners: - NOW THEREFORE, I, L. M. Chaffin, Clerk of -the Superior Court' of Harnett County., do hereby appoint as a member of your body to -fill out the unexpired term of Mr. John McLeod, T. R. Ball of the Carolina Blue Printers be confirmed. The _following contract form of the Carolina Blue Printers of Raleigh is ordered confirmed. ZONTRACT OF CAROLINA BLUE PRINTERS We propope to photostat and mount on cloth all the maps inbooks 1 -2 and 3, also all the maps in deed book No. 169, of which there are approximately 52 maps, also the official map of Dunn as shown in deed book No. .F -2, except maps : marked. "out ",by you. These photostats are to be of a standard.sixe, name 12" x.20" bound in 4 good strong binder like sample exhibited, for the sum Nineteen Hundred and eighty -eight dollars, (019$5.00) We expect.to make new tracings of all the maps that we think necessary of which there will be approximately 170 and these tracings will be 17° x 20" on good tracing linen These tracings will also be photostated and mounted on cloth. We also intend to make a new and complete index, of course preserving the old index. The above price of $1988.00 does not include the maps that are scattered thru the various deed books.
