JOINT MEETING OF SCHOOL & COUNTY BOARDS.
The appointment of Mrs. Anna B. Lewis, as County Welfare Officer was
unanimous. The appointment is for the two years ensuing.
It -is ordered by the Boards that the Sallary of the County Welfare officer
shall be $200.00 per month including expenses of the work.
_Be it resolved that the County Commissioners of Harnett County dis -allow
the $40,000.00 included in the Board of Education School Budget for Angier,
School Building.
Upon motion of C. H. Pope and duly seconded by Stuart Turlington, it was
unanimously voted that the recommendation of the Town Commissioners of Dunn,
to appoint David M. Williford as Judge of the recorders court of Dunn be and
the same is rejected and the Board of Town Commissioners of the town of. Dunn,
requested to meet in Joint - session with the board of County Commissioners
of Harnett County on Thursday, June the 6, 19a it 300- o'clock P. M. for
the purpose of Appdiinting a Judge for the Recorder's Court at Dunn,
present and voting for: John McLeod, Chm. C. H. Pope, Stuart Turlington,
Wm. Morgan and W. C..Lowdermilk, Voting against: None.
Upon motion of Wm. Morgan and duly seconded by W. C. Lowdermilk it was
unanamiously noted that the recommendation of Town Commissioners of Angier
to appoint Mr. C. S. Adams as Cotton weigher for the town of Angier, be and
the same is rejected and the Board of the Town of Angier requested to
meet in Join - Session with the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County
on Thursday June 6, 1929 at 4:30 o'clock P. M. for the purpose of appointing
a cotton weigher for the twon of Angier.
Present & voting for John McLeod, Chm., C. H. Pope, Wm. Morgan, W. C. Lowder -
milk, Stuart lurlington. Voting against:None.
Be it resolved by this board that the county welfare officer, Mrs.
Anna B. Lewis and the Womans Home Club of Lillington have the priviledge to
clear away the rubbish and make a play ground on the County grounds back of
the Court house & Jail without any expense to the County.

It is ordered that the report of L..M..,Chaffin, Clerk of Superior Court be
accepted and filed.
It is ordered by the board that the bill of Dr. Lawerence of Raleigh be paid,
upon investigation of J. E. Dupree, County Auditor, The bill for treatment of
N. I. Dupree of Black River Township.

It is ordered that the above appropriations be made to the funds as
set out above.
The County Physician is required by the County Commissioners to callatthe
county Home and County Convict Camp and Jail at least once a week in addition
to any other duties he shall perform as county Physician.

It is ordered that the county Atty be paid a salary $75.00 per month for his
services as county atty. The county Atty has heretofore been paid $400.00
per year the amount was found insufficient for the services rendered by the
County attorney.
It is ordered that the Meeting adjourn until Wednesday, June 6th, 1929, at
2:00 o'clock, P. M.
