It is ordered that accounts in Bank be carried ignit in the name of Harnett County followed by the name of the fund or special designation of the account. 340 It is ordered that the County Attorney be authorized to approve and accept for this board the bond of the County Accountant and to notify the County depositary that the County Accountant has been inductedinto office upon acceptance of such bond. It is ordered that the County Mgr. D. H. Senter presented to Ira Dupree by Dr. B. J. Lawerence. IT IS ORDERED that the duties of the County - =wager will be as follows: He will have supervision of all county institutions and the care and supervision of the courthouse and all other county buildings. He will attend all meetings of this board, ;keep himself informed as to the county's finances and financial needs, and will make recommendations to this board from time.to time pertaining to all matters which this board is required by law or expected by custom to consider. He will sign all General County Rand and Bond Fund vouchers heretofore signed by the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners. He will be authorized to place upon the tax books by the authority of this board property found to have been not listed, and it shall be his duty to make diligent search of record.s and in other ways for property not being taxed and to tax the same. he Will be authorized to issue reliefs for taxes when necessary to corree clerical errors only, and he will report in writing to this board at each regular meeting, all reliefs issued furang the privious calendar month. ne will act as Tax Supervisor, and in such capacity will supervise the listing of taxes and valuation of property, prepare the tax books and all records and reports pertaining thereto, as may be required by law, or as may be necessary for making proper entries in the county's books of account. He will act as purchasing agent for the county, and will execute purchase orders covering major purchases, supplying one copy to the County accountant for making the entries in the books of accounts as required by law. IT IS ORDERED that the duties of the County .Accountant will be as follows In addition to the duties prescribed by section, Chapter 146, public laws of 1927, he will make reports to each meeting of this board of the county's, ftnnr finances, axt will supply a copy of all such reports to the county Manager, prior to the dsy of the meeting, if possible. He will receive and deposit in the county depositary on the same day received, all moneys which may be due to the county, and which are not required to be paid to some other eoanty officer. His books of accounts will be at all times kept up to date and in balance, and such books of accounts shall be open to the inspection of the County Manager at all times: It will be his duty to co- operate wi promote the interests of the county. Gardner, having been appointed Deputy Sheriff of Harnett County. for the ensuing two years, presented his official bond in the sum of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS with D. 1I. Senter as bondsman, was accepted and took the several oaths prescribed by law. D. J. PATTERSON having been appointed Deputy Sheriff of Harnett County, for the ensuing two years, presented his official bond in the sum of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS with W. C. 'audermilk and D. A. It is ordered that the County accept the repor Court, with checks attached and file. It is ordered that the report of the county Welfare Officer, Mrs. Anna B. Lewis be accepted and filed. It is ordered that the Report of Convict Camp be accepted and filed and the orders attached be paid. RELIEFS It is ordered that the Bank of Lillington be relieved of $79.69 Franchise Taxes, with reason that it had been listed as Capital Stock. It is ordered by the Board that the following realestate sold by £. T. I5,1929 The board met with all members present but l.F.Surles who is illat his home.The County Atty. met with the board. The board was called to order by the Charman. It is ordered that the Harnett Wholesale Grocery Co.be relieved of its taxes for I922,I923,and I924 upon payment of 4100.00 and the Attornies fee. The same order having been passed by the old board and reccomended by its Attorney,and beefing the same taxes on which suit was brought,being suit N0.38I6 It is ordered that the County Manager buy the nessary supplies and equipment and have installed in the Sheriff's Office It is ordered that the bond of John g.Dupree Auditor be accepted filed.
