At a meeting of tha Board of County Commissionerp of Harnett County,, held
at Milington on the lot dayll of October, 1928,, the following members were
present, the same, being a quorum of said board*
Messrs. Bueha'nan, Snipes, Hockaday, Byrd and 5ngram.
�,The following resolution was offered by Mr. Ingram and seconded by Mr.
Byrd:
uResolved by the Bqard:of County Commissioners of Harnett Gountty:
(1) That for properly maintaining a six months school term in District
180, County of Harnett, as required by Article 11,, Se ' etion 5,, of the Consti"
tution of the State of Nortb9arolina, It is necessary that a certain
Amprovement be made therein of the following character:,
Completion of septic *k and filter bed at the Boone Trail School.
(2) That in rclor to provide the said improvements It is necessary,
that the sum of 13t0 O0#00 bol obtained by borrowing the: some, to be used by
the County Board of Education of Harnett County for said purpose:

A (3) , That the Board of County 'Commissioners of Harnett County does
r hereby approve of and autho ize the application for, and procurement of
a loan for said purpose from the State Literary Fund of the State of North
Carolinal, establishedL and operated under III C.S. 5683 -56870 the same
being Awtiole 14, Chapter 1460 Public Laws of 19123* and said Board does
.hereby authorize end directi'that all necessary ,steps be taken to procure said
loan under the terms of sai(� statutes, and the rules and regulations of the
State Board of Education go.verning to making of loaAs from said State

authorized, empowered and dAreoted for and on behalf of this Board to
`Join with the County Board of Education of Roxnett County in making the
necessary application therefor, and. to take such action under this

MINUTES OF CALL. METIM OF COMKISSIONERS ON MONDAY OCTOBER,-22nd.,

1928. Call Meeting. `
IbCHMAS, the Board of County Commissioners of ,Harnett County has been
advised by the office of the Attorney General of North Carolina that there
is no provision in the laws passed by the 1927.jegislature restricting the all
wane
of 4 discount for taxes paid in the months of October, and November, immediately
following the levy of taxes by the County of Harnett;
AND wHMAS, it is deeped to the best interest of Harnett County that
the discount allowed on taxes, p*id during October and November 1927 be allowed
for taxes paid. during October and November 1928.
Noce, Therefore, be it resolved that a discount-of one- -half of one
per cent per month be allowed on all taxes collected by the tax collector of
Harnett County during the months of October and November, 1928, *aid discount
on all taxes paid during the month of October 1928 to be one per cent, and
said discount on all taxes paid during the month of November 1928 to be one—
half of one per cent.
Passed this the ,182nd: day of October, 1928.
