Commissioners met in regular session on Monday Feb. 6, 1928, at 9 o'clock A.M.
eall members being present as follows: Buchanan, chairman; B.P. Ingram, Z.V.
Snipes, J.A. Hockaday and L.R. Byrd, and I.R. Williams, county attorney.
Minutes of last meetings read and approved.
The following Resolution was passed:
"WHEREAS, it has become necessary for Harnett County to borrow money to pay
the principal or interest on bond or notes to become due within four months, and
not otherwise adquately provided for:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett
County, North Carolina, that said Board be authorized to borrow on the faith ant
credit of said County the sum of FIFTEEN THOUSAND ($15,000.00) DOLLARS, for the
purpose of raising funds with which to pay the principal or interest on bonds or
notes, either or both, to become due within four months, as provided under Section
5 of "The County Finance Act ", and the Chairman of this Board be authorized to
execute a note or notes for the aforesaid mentioned sum, dated February 13, 1922,
payable to bearer, signed by the Chairman of the Board and attested by the Clerk
ofmsaid Board, payable on the 13th day of July, 1928, and bearing interest at tiie
rate of 4.50 per cent per annum, and that such note or notes be negotiated and
delivered by the chairman for the purposes aforesaid."

the faith and credit of said County the sum of FIFTEEN THOUSAND (415,000.00)
DOLLARS, for the purpose of raising funds with which to pay the principal or
interest on bonds or notes, either or both, to become due within four months,
as provided under Section 6 of "The County Finanoe Act ", and the Chairman of
this Board be authorized to execute a note or notes for the aforesaid mentioned
sum, dated Feb. 13, 1928, payable to bearer, signed by the Chairman of the
Board and attested by the Clerk of said Board, payable on the With day of
July, 1928, and bearing interest at the rate of 4.50 per cent per:annun, and

Board and attested by the Clerk of said Board, payable on the 8th day of June,
1928, and bearing interest at the rate of 4.50 per cent per annum, and that such

as provided under Section 5 of "The County Finance Act ", and the Chairman of
this Board be authorized to execute a note or notes for the aforesaid mentioned
sum, dated March 8, 1928, payable to bearer, signed by the Chairman of the
Board and attested by the Clerk of said Board, payable on the 8th day of June,
