MINUTES OF MEETING OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON MONDAY,
NOVEMBER 7th. 1927.
County Commissioners met in regular session on Nov. 7, 1927. All members
of the Board present, with County Attorney, I.R. Williams.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
It is ordered that the valuation on property listed by A.A.
Lillington township be reduced one -third of assessed value.
It is ordered that James Oxendine of Averasboro township be
tax on account of lose of left arm.
It is ordered that the sum of 44000.00 be paid to County of
agreement.
It is ordered that a rural policeman be appointed for Barbecue and
townships for two months at 475.00 per month.
It is ordered that property of K.B. Johnson do LIilington township
to $6000.00, now owned by F.C. Hobbs.
PAUPER ALLOWANCES:
It is ordered that Sarah Ann Walker be allowed $4.00 per month.
It is ordered that Rebecca and N.A. McMillian be allowed 44.00 each for one
month.
SANATORIUM FUND ALT /WANCE:
it is ordered that Mrs. E.D. Sanders of Erwin, N.C. be allowed 410.00 per month
as Sanatorium Fund.
It is ordered that B.B. Wood be allowed 430.00 per month for three months as
Sanatorium Fund.

RELIEF OF TAXES:
It is ordered that Alex Ray of Stewart's Creek township be relieved of poll
tax on account of poverty and infirmity, and that the sum of 42.00 be refunded
to him.
It is ordered that Mrs. John Williams of Stewart's Creek township be relieved
of 422.50 on property not in school district.
It is ordered that
Colin McLean of Barbecue township be relieved of 410.57
on property listed and paid by W.S. Stewart.
It is ordered that L.H. Johnson of Hector's Creek township be relieved of taxes
on 4980. valuation error in value of cleared land.
REPORTS:
It is ordered that report from L.M. Chaffin be accepted and filed, and that
checks for 4495.58 and 4684.25 be turned over to County Auditor.
It 1s ordered that report from John Green. Tax Collector, be accepted and
filed.
It is ordered that report from S.B. Caviness, Supt. Convict Camp, be aocepted
and filed, and that bills attached to the amount of 41027.62 be paid.
It is ordered that report from J.M. Hough be accepted and filed, and that bills
attached in the amount ofu$344.58 be paid.
It is ordered that report from rural polioeman be accepted and filed.
It is ordered that report from I.R. Williams be accepted and filed, which report
shows taxes oolleoted as follows: 4892.47 1921 to 1925.
