MINUTES OF MUTING OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF OCT. 13. 1927.
SPECIAL MINTING.
Commissioners met in Spesii3 Malting on Oot. 12, 1927, at 7 o'clock P.Y.
pursuant to Cop.F., notice of ich was a accepts& byralrfive commissioners, in
with commissioners Hockaday, Ingram, 7 D
Buchanan being absent on account of illness of his mother.
Upon motion by Byrd, seconded by Ingram, commissioner Hockaday was elected
4emporery chairman.
J.P. Bradley instructed to bind suitably the certifiostes of land sales for
1926 taxes.

Motion by Ingram, seconded by Byrd, that the final report of John Green,
tax collector, for 1926, be accepted. Toting in favor of said motions Byrd,
Snipes, Hockaday and Ingram.
Motion by Byrd, seconded by Ingram, that John Green be elected Tax Collect°]
to collect the 1927 tax levy, upon the same salary as for 1.926 levy, upon
the ,Posting of a bend in the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars, with a Surety
Company doing business in this State as surety to said bond.`
1t is ordered that the bond of John Green, Tax Collector, executed by
Maryland Canalty Company as; surety, in the sum-of $50,0;00.00, be accepted,
copied on minutes and filed with the Clerk of Superior Court of Harnett

Upon motion by Byrd,,seconded by Snipes, it is recommended that Board of
Education be requested to dispose of the Old abandoned. biock of land in
Dunn formerly need as old High School on Orange Ellis Street, Harnett &
Edgerton Streets, and the old colored school Site on Broad street.
