CALL SESSION OF COUNTY COMMISSIOT_'RS July J/th, 1927.
Be it Resolved, That erecs, on July 17th, 1927, at a call meeting of

bonds in amount not exceeding the sum of $225,000.00, Two Hundred Twenty
Five Thousand and no /100 D•llars, for the prupose of acquiring sites,
erection of school building, and equipment of the same necessary for the
proper operation of schools in the said county of Harnett for a term of
six months as required by th-'constitution of North Carolina, was introduced
and spread upon the Minutes o. said meet ing,,
AND w?7EREA5, a statement of the correct school indebtednese of Harnett
County, verified by J. P. Bradl County Auditor, was duly filed with the
Jerk to said Board on July 17th : 1927,. which - statement Of-correct indebted-
ness has been open for public in-fection since said date;
AND fTHEREAS, the introduction if said, ordinance authorizing said bonds
was published as required by Chapt:.' 81, Section 9, Laws of 1927, in the
Harnett County News, a newspaper published in said county on July ,
1927, which ordinance was duly post =d at the courthouse door and at three other
public places in said Gouty, in whic, notice Monday July 4th, 1927, at 10
o clock, A. M. was the time designat =, at which the said Board of VommissionErs
of Harnett County would hear any citi.en who desired to protest against the
passage of said ordinance as introduce.
AND WHEREAS, the said ordinance as i traduced, at. the call meeting on
July 17th, 1927, has been read actin to t,e Board of said County Commissionere
at this meeting and no amendments to the ams being offered;`
BE IT RESOLVED, That the ordinance aut.orlzine the issuance of school
t bonds, as introduced at a call meeting of J y<,17th, 1927, in amount not
exceeding $2254000.00, in accordance with 0 -.t'er 81, Section 11, be placed
upon its final passage.
Said ordinance was passed; by the following vote:

Noes: None.
The following ordinance was finally passed on , +.e 4th day of July, 1927,
and was first published on the . day of 192 :, Any action or pro -
eeedings questioning the va1a. ity of said ordinance m t be commenced within
thirty days after its first publication.

Be it resolved that the Board of Education and the Board of County
Commissioners in joint resolution do commend the efficient work done by
Miss Dora Beck as County 'Welfare Officer for the past two Yeats and that
inasmuch as Miss Dora Beck has refused to stand for reelection that she
be requested to continue to act as County Welfare Officer until the two
Boards in joint session can elect her successor not later than the first
Monday in September, 1927; and that this resolution be spread upon the
- minutes of the Board of Education and Board of .County "ommissioners.

to 1110.00, per acre.
It -is ordered that all 'waste land in the county of Harnett be
valued at not less than $10.00, per acre..

"'Whereas it has become necessary for Harnett `'ounty to borrow money to pay the
principal or interest on bonds or notes to become due within four months, and
not otherwise adequately provided for.

County, North Carolina, that said Board be authorized to borrow on the faith and
credit of the said County, the sum of Twenty Thousand and no /100 Dollars 020000.00)
for the purpose of raisins funds with which to pay the principal or interest on
bonds or not s, either or both, to i;ecor e G _r. . :ithin four months, as provided
under ''ection 5 of "The County Finance Act" and the Chairman of this 3oard be
authori:.ed to execute a note or notes for the aforementioned sum, dated July 19,
1927, payable to bearer, signed by the Chairman of the Board, and attested by
the Clerk to said Board,payable on the 19 day of - december, 1927, and beerine
interest at the rate oc. $ -Sper cent. per annum, and that such note or notes
be negotiated and delivered by the said "heirman for the purposes aforesaid"

NO'7, THEFETPOFE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Har-
nett 'ounty, North Carolina that said Board be authorised to borrow on the faith
and credit of the said "ounty, the sum of Fifteen Thousand and no /100 (015,000.00)
Dollars, for the purpose of raising funds with which to pay the principal or in-
terest on bonds or notes, either or both, to become due within four months, as
provided under "ection 5 of "The bounty Finance Act ", and the bhairman of this
Board be authorized to execute a note or notes for the aforementioned sum, dated
July 19, 1927, payable to Bearer, signed by the " hairman of the Board and attest-
ed by the "lerk to said Board, pazable on the 19th. day of December, 1927 and
bearing interest at the rate of 'LS per cent. per annum, and that such note be
negotiated and delivered by the said 'hairmen for the purposes aforesaid ".

Township be raised six percent above the 1927 assessors.

It is ordered that the valuation of waste land in Johnsonville
Township be raised to $10.00, per acre, and that the valuation of the
cultivated land be raised five percent above the 1927 assessors valuation.

It is ordered that the val ation of all waste land be lowered $10.00, per

It is ordered that the valuation of the waste land in Neill's Creek
be reduced to 010.00 per acre.
STE' IA RT' S CREEK
It is ordered that the valuation of the waste land in Stewart's Creek
be raised to 010.00, per acre.
UPPER LITTLE RIVER
It is ordered that the valuation of the ste lard in Upper Little
Elver be raised to 010.00 per acre.
HECTOR'S CREEK
It is ordered that the valuation of all waste land in Hector's Creek
be raised 21 above khE 1927 assessor.
