CALL SESSION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON MARCH 24, 1927.
Board of County Commissioners met in Call Session March 24, 1927, ail
members being present with I.R. Williams, County Attorney, absent.
The, proposition of electing a new Board -of Road Commissioners was discussed,
and the following were elected:
To fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of G.P. Byrd, Mr. Ingram
nominated H. McD. Ray. This nomination was seconded by Mr. Byrd, and upon
vote was unanimously elected.
It was moved by Mr. Hockaday and seconded by Mr. Snipes that W.L. center,
W.J. MaeStewa±t, R.S. Kelly and T.N. Holmes of the present Board be re-
appointed for the ensuing term, - Upon vote all were re- elected.
It was moved and seconded that two tax assessors be appointed to assist the
List Takers in each township fo;r the purpose of re- valuation.

It was moved and seconded that the township men be allowed $6.00 per day for
their service and that they pay -all expenses.
It was moved and seconded that 2.6 acres of J.N. Fuquay residence lot in
Lillington township be released of 1926 taxes upon payment to the tax
collector the amount of taxes ($51.75) due thereon.
It was moved and seconded that farm demonstrator would not be employed
until after budget for next fiscal year has been made.
The Board adjourned to meet at its regular time on next First
Monday.
