MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF COMMISSIONERS ON MONDAY NOVEMBER lst, 1926,
County commissioners met in regular session on Nov. lst, 1926. All
members of Board present with county attorney.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
REPORTS:
It is ordered that report from J.P. Parker, Supt. of County Home, be
accepted and filed, and that bills attached to the amount of ;174.04
be paid.
It is ordered that report from S.B. Caviness, Supt. of Convict Camp, be
accepted and filed, and that bills attached for ;900.77 be paid.
It is ordered that report from Miss Sadie Hatcher be accepted and filed,
and that the resignation of Miss Hatcher be accepted and filed.
It is ordered that report from O.S.C. be accepted and filed, and that
checks attached for $290.75 and $398.25 be turned over to County Auditor.
It is ordered that report from Tax Collector be accepted and filed, and
amount collected to date $14,245.69.
AUPER ALLOWANCE:
It is ordered that Wayland Rys s be allowed $20.00 per month (tuberculosis
case).
It is ordered that the Sanatorium Fund for Bob Merritt be reduced to
$35.00 per month.
ONE -PER CENT DISCOUNT:
It is ordered as authorized by Section 7994 C.S. 1919, that a discount of
one per cent be allowed to all persons paying their taxes in Nov. 1926.
It is further ordered that this discount of one per cent be allowed to
all persons who paid their taxes during Oct. 1926, and that the Auditor be
authorized and directed to remit to all persons who paid their taxes in
Oct. 1926 one -per cent of respective amounts paid.
'RASES:
It is ordered that release be given H.McD. Ferguson for $36.50 in
Averasboro Township. Solvent credit 516.50.

COUNTY OF HARNETT.
The Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, North
Carolina, met in regular session at the Court House in the Town of Lillingt n,
North Carolina, on the let day of November, 1926, the following members
being present: Jas. A. Buchanan, Chairman; J.G. - Layton, B.P. :Ingram, Z.V.
Snipes, J.A. Hockaday, •IMamie L. Sexton, Ex-Officio Clerk.

RESOLVED that pursuant to an Act entitled, "An Act relating to
county notes in anticipation of the collection of certain school and other
taxes ", 'Ina* ratified December 19th, 1921, Notes of the County to aggrega e
principal amount of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) be issued in anticipatio .
of the collection of taxes for the expenses of the County for which the
County has lawfully levied or will levy taxes. The amount of the said note:.,
together with any other notes issued for the same purpose during the fiscal
year, will not exceed 75 Per of the amount of the taxes levied for the
said purpose for the preceding fiscal year,
The said notes shall be dated November 3rd, 1926, and shall be
payable February 3rd, 1927, shall bear interest at the rate of FIVE AND ONE QUARTER
PER CENT (54 %) per annum, payable at the maturity of said notes, shall be i'
the denomination of $5,000 each, shall be numbered one and two (1 and 2),
and both principal and interest shall be payable at the CHASE NATIONAL BANE
in the City and State of New York.
Said notes shall be, signed by the Chairman` and Clerk respectively
of the Board of County Commissioners, and shall be issued in substantially
the following form, to -wit:

No. NOTE IN ANTICIPATION OF TAXES $5,000,00
The County of Harnett, in the State of North Carolina, for
value received, hereby promises to pay taeBEARER the sum of FINS THOUSAND
DOLLARS on the 5rd day of February, 1927, with interest at the rate of
FIVE AND ONE QUARTER PER CENT, per annum, payable at the maturity of this
note, both principal and interest being payable at the CHASE NATIONAL BANK,
in the City and State of New York.

This note is issued by virtue and in pursuance of an Act entitled
An Act relating to county notes in anticipation of the collection of certain
school end other taxes ", ratified Deoember 19th, 1921, and 'of a resolution
duly adopted by the Board of County Commissioners.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said County of Harnett has caused this note to
be signed by the Chairman and Clerk respectively of its Board of County
Commissioners, and dad as of the 3rd day of November, 1926.
