HomeMy WebLinkAbout06071926cab MINUTES OF isEETING OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON MONDAY, June 7 1926. Commissioners met in regular session with the following members present: Jas. A. Buchane, Chairman, J.A. Hockaday, B.P. Ingram, J.G. Layton, Z'V. Snipes, and also M.T. Spears, Attorney. Minutes of last meetings helds on May 3rd and May 24th read and approved. It is ordered that J.P. Bradley be allowed $5.00 for supplies for Esther Davis and' Bertha Moye, col. - It is ordered that the Bank of Lillington.be named and designated as depository for all funds paid to and received by the County Auditor REPORTS. It is ordered that report of J.P. Parker, Supt. of County/Home, be accepted and filed, and that bills attached to the amount of $20080 be paid. It is ordered that report from L.M. Chaffin, C.S.C. b accepted and filed, and that checks attached for $197.00 and $240.00 be urned over to County Auditor. It is ordered that report of H.A. Turlington, Ta Collector and filed, and that $144.43 advancement on salary be paid. It is ordered that report of Miss Sadye Hatcher be qccepted and be accepted filed. It is ordered that report of Cole Savage, County Agent, be accepted filed. and It is ordered that report of S.B. Caviness, Supt. of County Convict Camp, be accepted and filed, and that all bills attached to the amount ofd be paid. ALLOWANCES FOR MOTHERS'AID, PAUPERS, etc. It is ordered that the Mothers' Aid fund be continued in county for another year. It is ordered that Mrs. Lena Baucom be allowed $10.00 for one month that further investigation be Made by Miss Beck, Welfare officer. It is ordered that Jack Blue be allowed $5.00 for one month, and that Beck make investigation as to his case. It is ordered that $10.00 be allowed to each- confederate soldier fo to Wilmington Reunion. LOAN BY BOARD OF EDUCATION AND C0HMISSIONERS It is ordered that the Board of Education and Board of County Commissioners be authorized to borrow for a', period of six months not over $7,000.00 to pay off dormitory bonds due by Lillington and Angier schools, .and also certain indebtedness due by Ljllington'High School. and Miss trip COUNTY ORDERS ALLOWED BY COMMISSIONERS: It is ordered that the following county vouchers be paid: 1912 W.H.
