MINUTES OF CALL SESSION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY 24, 1926.
The Board of County Commissioners met in adjourned session as follows:
Present, Jas. A. Buchanan, chairman, B.P. Ingram, J.A. Hockaday, J.G.
Layton and Z.V. Snipes.
The County Commissioners and N.A. Sinclair, Judge Riding the 4th Judicial
District, having on May 21,-T928;-,certified to A.W. McLean, Governor of North
Carolina, that the criminal docket was very congested and that due to the
accumulation of criminal actions in the Superior Court of Harnett County, it
was necessary that a special term of Criminal court be called for the purpose
of disposing of pending criminal actions.
Governor A.W. McLean notified the County Commissioners, through their County
Attorney, M.T. Spears, that he had called a special term of criminal court
for Harnett County to begin June 14, 1926. Thereupon the following jurors
were drawn for said special term:

It is ordered that County Auditor make a voucher to Marvin Wade, Treas. of
Dunn Graded School, District, for $49,387.50 for their part of the loan for
the State Building Fund.
It'is ordered that County Auditor issue voucher to Duke Township Road
Commission for f13,067.68 to pay their share of money recovered in suit
against Ex- Sheriff J.W. McArtan and his Bondsmen.
It is ordered that due legal notice be given of the special term of criminal
court beginning June 14, 1926.
