Spears, County Attorney, present with them. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. It is ordered that report from Grove Township Road Commissioners be accepted and filed. It is ordered that report from Stewart's Creek Township be accepted and filed. It is ordered that report from Miss Bridge be accepted and filed. It is ordered that report from S.B. Caviness, Supt. of uonvict Camp, be accepted and filed, and that all bills attached be paid. It is ordered that report from J.P. Parker, Supt. County Home, be accepted and filed, and that all bills attached be paid. It is ordered that report from E.F. Young be accepted and filed; and that check attached for $1416.95 be turned over to County Auditor. It is ordered that report from J. Robert Young be accepted and filed; and that check for $7.70 attached be turned over to County Auditor. It is ordered that report from A.D. Herring, County Farm Agent, be accepted and filed. It is ordered that report from Clerk Superior Court be accepted and filed; and that attached check for fines be paid, amounting to $169.40. It is ordered that report from H.A. Turlington be accepted and filed, and that commission of e764.73 be allowed. It is ordered that J.A. Hughes and wife's montly pauper allowance be increased from $12.50 per month to $15.00. It is ordered that C.J. Carr be relieved of $50.00 for county privilege tax. It is ordered that the election of C.S. Adams for Cotton Weigher in Angier be approved. It is ordered that investigation be made dt Fannie Jones and Martha Hartsfield with reference to putting them on pauper list. It is ordered that report of election held in- Barbecue High School District be accepted and filed It is ordered that William Davis' monthly pauper allowance be raised from $5.00 to $7.50. It is ordered that County appropriate $500.00 to State Forest service Dept. of conservation and development, with the understanding that this work is to be county wide, and that State and Federal appropriations ald private funds be raised to the sum of $1500.00, making the total amount $2000.90, for the year beginning July 1st, 1925. It is ordered that the question of Eastern Chamber of Commerce be postponed until next meeting, Aug. let, 1925. It is ordered that Neill McKay Salmon be appointed solicitor for Recorder's Court at Salary of $75.00 per month; that this appointment be effective Aug. 1, 1925. It is ordered that J.A. Hoackaday and G.K. Grantham make settlement with H.A. Turlington, Tax Collector, in this month (JULY). It is ordered that the county borrow the sum of $25000.00 for six months for the use of Dnke School District, and the following resolution passed: "BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HARNETT COUNTY" That one note of County of Harnett be executed in the sum of $25,000.00, dated July 15th, 1925, maturing January 15, 1926, and bearing interest at 4* per annum, interest payable at maturity. Both interest and principal payable to BEARER at Chase National Bank of the City of New York, New York. In anticipation of collection of taxes for year 1925, and that said note be sold or hypothecated by the Auditor of Harnett County and the proceeds thereof turned into the general fund of said L:ounty. Be it further resolved: That the full faith and credit of County of Harnett be pledged to the punctual payment of the principal and interest of said note at maturity. I, Mamie Sexton, Clerk of Board of Commissioners, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a the record of the proceedings of the above mentioned Board of Commissioners of the County of Harnett."
