MINUTES OF IEETING OF COUNTY COMIJTISSIONERS IN CALL SESSION JUNE16, 1925,
at 9 O'clock A.M.
The Commissioners met in joint session with the Road Commissioners from
Districts 2, 3 & 5, for the purpose of selecting a Commissioner from each -
of these Districts.

The Commissioners first met with Road Commissioners from Grove TownshipArfok.imil '9
and the following were elected as Commissioners: W.J. McStewart was named
as Commissioner for Grove, Black River and Neill's Creek Townships,'
W.I. Senter was elected for Hector's Creek Township and Buckhorn Township
T.N. Holmes Johnsonville, Anderson Creek & Barbecue.
It is ordered that the County make no charge against Hector's Creek, Neills
Creek, Lillington and_Stewart's Creek Townships for the pro -rata part of
the interest on the money spent in the construction of bridges and culverts
on the LaFayette Highway.
It, is ordered that Chairman and Attorney prepare a tentative budget by
August 1st.
It is ordered that Goodno & Steele be paid S289.01.
It is ordered that.J.A..Buchanan, J.A. Hockaday, and County Attorney,
be named as. a Committee to look over land sales of H.A. Turlington.
It is ordered that B.P. Ingram be appointed to confer with Mr. Gentry in
securing a welfare officer.
It is ordered that Purchasing Agent be instructed to buy covers for all
eemehi floors and shades for awl windows in Courthouse.
It is ordered that Register of Deeds compile new jury list.
It. is ordered by the Board of County Commissioners that J. Robert Young
immediately return and deliver to the County Auditorr the tax books for the
years 1920, 1921, 1922, and that he file a report with >this Board by the
first Monday in July, 1925, showing in detail the amount or amounts collected
since his last report, and that said report give name, township and year of
tax payer from whom collections have been made.
It is further ordered that E.F. Young return and deliver to the
County Auditor immediately all tax sale certificates held, by him for the
years 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, and that he file report with this Board by
the first Monday in July, 1925, showing amounts collected since his last
report.
RELEASE.
It is ordered that release be given J.H. Rand for $23.32 in Lillington township.
