Chairman; E.L.Cooke; Ceo.T.Noel, A.A.Cameron and J,S.Barker. It is ordered that P, .Parrish,-,of Grove `township, be relieved of poll tax for the years-1935 and 1936. It is ordered that J.'W.Teague, of Upper Little River To be granted free peddlers license. It is ordered that C.B.Ballard be allowed to sell beer at the Triangle Service Station. It is ordered that beer license be granted to Mrs. GoldieCollins, Lillington, N.C. It is ordered that beer license be granted to "Wil °liam M.Moore, Erwin, N.G. It is ordered that beer license be granted to E.G.Jones, Erwin, N.0 . It is ordered that beer license be granted to Archie Wood, Dunn, N.0 It is ordered that beer license be granted to C,B,MoLeod. It is ordered that A.W.Wicker, of Stewarts Creek Township, be refunded $2.00 dog tax for 1935. It is ordered that the valuation of Mrs. Esther Byrd in A verasboro Township be reduced in the amount of $125.00 for the year 1935 on account of building burned. ship, I It is ordered that the` valuation: of M.E.Thornton in Averasboro Townshp be reduced in the amount of #125.00 for the years 1935 and 19.36 on account of house being burned in 1934. It is ordered that report of • W,D.Harrington, Tax Collector, be accepted and filed. It is ordered that report of Mrs. Inez Harrington, Register of Deeds, be accepted and filed. It is ordered that report of L.M.Chaffi.n, C.S.G. be accepted and filed. It is ordered that report of Grand Jury be accepted and filed. It is ordered that James Collier be appointed Constable in Grove Township In place of 0.A.CObb. Bond to be fixed at $1,000.00. To begin serving as soon as bond has been approved. It is ordered that the budget for Health service from June llth. to June 30th. 1936, in the amount of *700,00 be approved. It is ordered that the bills of costa as approved by Solicitor C.C.Cannady of the Fourth Judicial District be paid in the cases of State -vs- W.W,Mason °and in the case of State -vs- 0.M.Pollard and C.F.Dean. RESOLUTION: BE IT RESOLVED that the hearing before the Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the Board of Equalization and Review, be continued from day to day until Monday, Zuly 20th. 1936, at which date all complaints must be placed before the Board; the Board being of the opinion that it is to the best interest of the people of Harnett County as a whole that the hearings be continued as stated above. Toting against: None, 383 1 ORDER: It appearing to the Board that Mrs. M ary 4.Salmon estate owns only 46 acres instead of 71 acres as listed, it is therefore ordered that the County Auditor adjust the valuation on the 48 acres of property in Upper Little River Township listed in the name of Mary 4.Salmon estate, upon the basis of 46/71 of the present valuation. Upon payment of said tax to issue a receipt in full for same. RESOLUTION: It appearing that 37 acres of land in Lillington Township, Harnett County, now owned by C.A.Underwood, and described in deed by Polly Ellis et cis to said C.A.Underwood and recorded in Book 253, page 190, Registry of Barnett County, is not now listed for taxes and has not been for more than 5 years: It is therefore RESOLVED that said 57 acres be now after - listed for the years 1931, 1932 1953, 1934 and 1935 at the valuation of =850.00 and that the taxes be calculated on said valuation by the A uditor, and that said land be listed in name of C.A.Underwood for said years and for the year 1938 at $350.00. It is further ordered that upon payment of said taxes on said 37 acres for the years 1951 to 1935 inclusive on valuation of $550.00 that said land be released and discharged of all County of Harnett taxes for year 1935 and all prior years and that County Auditor is instructed to issue proper receipt in full payment and discharge of all taxes on said lands upon payment of taxes as herein ordered. It is ordered that a resolution be sent to the State.Highwaytand Public Works Commission requesting completion of road from arwin to Linden under the Federal Aid Program.
