October 7th. 1935.
The Board of bounty bommissioners met in regular session with the following
members present: -J.B. Innis, Chairman, Geo. W, Noel, J.S. Barker, I.A.Cameronand
E.L. Cooke. I.1% Williams, County Attorney, also present.
It is ordered by the Board that the Auditor segregate the valuation of the 210
acre tract of land listed by C.L. Sorrell, lverasboro Township, and place the

following valuation on the 44 acre tractx owned by C.L. Sorrell.
1930 - $2290,00; 1931- 2740; 1932- 32740.00: 1933- 2055.00:1934- $2055.00 :1935 -
$2055.00.
ON the 166 acre tract now owned by Mrs. J.L. Sorrell: 1930 - $8630.00;1931 -and 193k
$10,330.00 and 1933, 1934 and 1935 at $7750.00
It is ordered that report of Geo. L. Cannady, Tax dolleotor, be accepted and filed.
It is ordered that the Board endorse the appointment of J.B. Black as Local
Manager of the cotton warehouse of Farmers Supply bompany of *inn, N.C.
It is ordered that petition for road in Buokhorn Township known as birole Road
be approved and forwarded to State Highway and Public works 'omission.
It is ordered that the valuation of that house and lot owned by Sallie Neeley and
Mamie Whitley in Averasboro Township be fixed at $2000.00 for the year 1935. Lot
to be valued at $1000.00 and the house at $1000.00.
It is ordered that Supt. of Schools, B.P. Gentry, be authorized to write a letter
to br. br.Baity requesting him to hold in abeyance the original applications and
re- submit the 1935 applioations as follows: For Benhaven, $63810.00; for bats;
$71,000.00. (See copy of letter on file)
It is ordered that the valuation of that pertain lot listed in the name of R.J.
Johnson on North Illson Avenue in the Town of Dunn be placed at $250000 for the
years 1933, 1934 and 1935.
Bids having-been advertised for laundry work for the Qounty Home and Jail the
following were.reoeived:
Dunn Family Laundry 4 1/8 cents per pound.
Modern Steam Laundry 3.9 cents per pound. is
The bid of Modern Steam Laundry being the low bid it /ordered by the Board that
Modern Steam Laundry be granted contract to do the laundry work of the bounty
Home and Jail for a term of one year on the above terms.
It is ordered that Mr. Maples Ross be allowed $100.00 as attorney fees in
connection with P.W.I. projects.
It is ordered that J.S. McLean, Purohasing Agent and T.R. Brown be authorized to
purohase 12 or 15 pigs for the bounty Farm.
It is ordered that J,B. Ennis, I.R. Williams and J.S' McLean, be appointed a
Committee to pass on the bond of W.D. Harrington, Tax Qolleotor.
It is ordered that report of Dr. Peede, County Health Officer, be accepted and
filed.
It is ordered that the case of Jerry Molay seeking pauper relief be referred to
Miss Lillie Davis, Welfare Officer, for oonsideration.
It is ordered that report of Grand Jury be accepted and filed.
It is ordered that James F. Motley of Fuquay Springs, N.0 9l be granted the
privilege of purchasing beer license for a term of one year.
wt is ordered that Henry Frank Penny of Dunn, N.C. be granted the privilege of
urohasing beer lloense for one year.
It is ordered that F.I. Dyads of Neills Creek Township be relieved of the payment
of poll tax for the nommetiberNsi years 1934 and 1935.
It is ordered that Jae. A. Smart be and he is hereby relieved of poll taxes for
1934 and 1935 in Stewerta Creek Township on account of being a disabled wood
War Veteran who draws compensation.
It is ordered that report of Edwin Harrington, Register of Deeds, be accepted
and filed.
It Is ordered that Wilburn Whittington be refunded poll tax for the year 1929 on
account of having been paid in both Duke and Lverasboro Townships by tax receipts
No. 907 and 1660.

It is ordered that the following renumeration be granted the tax collector,
Geo. L. Cannady, for the collection of the 1934 Land Sales Taxes:
