March 4th. 1935.
The Board of +unty +mmissioners met in regular session with the following
members present: J.B. Ennis, Gliairman, J.S. Barker, Geo!T. Noel, E.L. Cooke and
A.A. Cameron. I.R. Williams, onnty Attorney also present.
It is ordered that N.F. Wiggins of Averasboro Township be refunded poll tax
for the year 1934761Yieeountâ˘of being physically disabled.
It is ordered that the County $ttorney be and he is hereby directed to com-
promise and canseltthat judgment entitled County of Harnett VS W.P.Barefoot and wife;
E.B. Bridges and others upon the payment of the principal and costs of said judgment
with 6% interest for one year on principal of said judgment.
It is ordered that petition for iioad in Grove Township be approved and forwarded
to the State Highway and Public Forks ommission for consideration.
It is ordered that J.P. Davis of Ikke Township be relived of the payment of
poll tax for the year 1934 on account of physical disability,
It is ordered that the report of Geo. L. Cannady, Tax Cnllector, be accepted
and filed.
It is ordered that J.S. Barker and A.A. Cameron be appointed a Committee to
investigate the valuation of that 'certain tract of 20 acres of land listed in the
name of H.V. Worth in Upper Little iver'Township.
It is ordered that Geo, ' ;_ Noel, J.S. Barker and E.L. 0ooke act as a Com-
mittee to investigate the valuation of the real estate of Edie Vfilliams, Nehemiah
Grace --and MoK. Williams in Averasboro Township, and report to Board.
It is ordered that report of Br. A.W. Peede, !, +unty Health Officer, be accepted
and filed.
It is ordered that report of Edwin Harrington, Register of Deeds, be accepted
and filed and cheek in the sum of $532.55 be ordered turned over to the County Auditor.
It is ordered that the valuation of that certain lot listed in the name of E.G.
West and lying and being on Layton Avenge and Pope Street be reduced to *800.00 for
the year 1930.
H.W. Prince having complained to the Board that his stock of merchandise is
listed for taxation at a higher valuation than stocks of like nature, it is ordered
that Commissioners Barker, Noel and Cameron be and they are hereby appointed a
E ommittee to investigate this condition.
It is ordered that petition for road in Upper Little River Township leading
from James Cameron's place to a point near Ned McLeod's store be approved and forwarded
to the State Highway and Public Works Commission for consideration.
It is ordered that fomie C. Price of Black Bluer Township, be relieved of the
payment of poll tax for the year 1934 on account 8f being a disabled World War
Veteran.
It is ordered that the Board accept lease on the County Farm to
It is hat J.E. Whitson be granted license to sell medicine without
charge -in Harnett County on account of being a disabled World War Veteran. for a
perioed of one year.
It -is ordered that E.E. Aikens of dike Township, be relieved of the payment
of poll tax for the years 1934 and 1935 on account of being a disabled World War
Veteran.
It is ordered that the School budget for the year 1934 -35 be amended as follows.
Current expense: The sum of *110.00 is added for fuel and light for Vocational
Agricultural Teachers,.
*3000.00 is added to current expense.
1000.00 is added to Capital - Outlay.
The above sums now being to the credit of said funds and no
additonal tax is to be levied.
It is ordered that petition for road in Upper Little laver Township, leading
from the Brown place on the Mobougald fl ad to Mamers- Springx Hill Road be approved
and forwarded to State Highway and Public *arks Commission for consideration.
It is ordered that the sum of $10,00 per month be appropriated for the benefit
of M.V. Lanier, Bockhorn Township, who is an invalid and unable to work, but who
desires to live with his brother 8.,0. Lanier, and who has agreed to support the said
.V.Lamier for the sum of $10,00 per month. This order to remain in effect for 3 months.

It is ordered that J.S. McLean, county Auditor, investigate the valuation of the
property of J.D. Ragland in Lillington Township and adjust valuation if any error
is found.
It is now ordered that the Board do adjourn Sue Die.
