Barker/ I.R. Williams, (bounty Attorney, uas 'also present. RESOLtJTI ON t° Resolved by the Board of County (commissioners in meeting held at Lillingten N.C. on Monday, Feby. 25th. 1935, that they do not oppose a flat .reise of 15% in salary of all public officials of,Harnett 8ogntr; Resolved further by the Board of ( ammissioners that they do not oppose an additional 10% raise in salary; if any only when, the returns from any of the said offices or the additional duties attached thereto would justify this additional 10% raise. Therefore, be it resolved,by said Board of Commissioners that - they are stron opposed to any office holder in Harnett (county going bek on a fee basis as provided in H.B. No. recently introduced in the House of Representatives of North Caro- lina, and Resolved further that Hon. Frederick Thomas be requested toWithdraw said bi from the Senate and prepare a nautili as a substitute therefor, providing a flat 157 increase in salary of all (ca:unty Officials, this in keeping with our State and Federal Governments, with the further proviso that when and if the duties of any of the said offices, or the returns therefrom shall be increased whereby an additional 10% raise would be justified, then and in that event the Board of Cdzunty (iommissione: of Harnett Bounty may raise the salary an additional 10 %.
