The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following Members present: J.B.Ennis, Chairman; J.D.Byrd; J.S.Barker; H.M.O'Quinn and E.L.Cooke. Also, I.R.Williams, County attorney. It is ordered that S.P.Judd be refunded $1.00 dog tax in Upper Little River due to the fact that he listed in Lee County and paid tax in that County. I• is ordered that the bill of Worrell Mfg. Co. in the sum of $1147.61 rendered for supplies furnished during 1930 be approved for the amount of-$292.90. It is ordered that petition for road in Grove Township leading from near New Green Ford Church to Harnett - Johnston County line, be approved and send to State Department for approval. It is ordered that action regarding pro - rating of Insurance to be allotted to the Insuranoe Agents writing policies on County property be deferred until first Monday in April. It is ordered that L.B.Barefoot of Duke Township be relieved of payment of poll tax for the year 1933 on acoount of physic*l disability. It is ordered that Benton Pegram be relieved of payment of $2.00 dog tax for the year 1933 on account of error in listing. It is ordered that report of L.M.Chaffin, C.S.C. be accepted and filed and checks in the sum of $191.90 and $57.00, respectively, be turned over to the County Auditor for distribution. RESOLUTION: That suit entitled "Harnett County vs Sallie Ann Shine et ale No. 18611" Judgment Dooket No, 18, page 35, office of Clerk Superior Court, be and hereby is ordered nonsuited at oost of County; and I.R.Williams, County Attorney, is hereby authorized and directed to take non suit in said above action at post of County of Harnett. RESOLUTION: - Whereas, J.A.Register has failed to pay the taxes assessed against him for the years 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932 and 1933, on certain lots in Averasbobo Twp; And Whereas, Jesse B.Lee, Sr. and Jessie Tart are now the owners of certain of said lots, which lots have been appraised by E.L.Cooke, Commissioners, and Geo. L.Cannaday, Tax Collector; And Whereas, certain of the lots are owned by persons unknown to this Board; And Whereas, the Board is of the opinion that sufficient evidence is not now before the Board for the said•Board to segregate the said lots fairly to all of the said present owners of said lots; NOW, therefore, be it ordered astfollows: 1. That the County Attorney- ascertain the present owners of all of the said lots and certify in writing to the Auditor the names of the owners and the years which the present owners have owned said lots. 2. That E.L.Cooke, Commissioners Geo. L.Cannday, Tax Collector; and J.S. McLean, Auditor, be and they are hereby appointed a Committee to value the lots - owned by the several present owners and fix a valuation on the said lots. • - 3. Thi the Auditor be and hertby hereby authorized to accept from any present owner the amount of taxes according to the valuations made by said Committee. It is now ordered that the above resolution be adopted by a unanimous vote of the Board. It is ordered that report of Dr. A.W.Peede, County Health Offioer,be aoopted and filed. It 1s now ordered that the Board of Commissioners do now adjourn Sine Die. Clerk. . Chairman.
