It is ordered that the appointment of M.M. Jernigan by the Town Board of
Dunn, as Judge of the Dunn Recorders Court be confirmed.
It is ordered that the Welfare Officer be requested to remove her office
from the Court House to the " Chapter House" on account of insufficient space.
It is ordered that Oscar Leslie be reliejred of 41.00 dog tax for -the year
1932 due to the fact that a male dog was listed as a female dog.
It is ordered that Joe. E. Caviness be appointed iatgsxst Vice - Recorder of
the Recorder's Court of Harnett County on account of the resignation of Chas.Loving.
It is ordered that J.0. Anthony be retained as Farm Demonstration Agent for
a term of one year at a salary to be fixed at some subsequent meeting,
It is ordered that J.B.Ennis and H.M.O'Quinn be appointed a Committee to
employ extra help in preparing the 1933 tax books.
RESOLE ION:
WHEREAS, through error, there was listed in the name of Mrs. M.H.Bethea of
Washington, D.C. one hundred and sixty one (161) acres of land in Lillington Town-
ship for the years 1931 and 1932; and
Whereas, the said Mrs. 14.H. Bethea owns no such property in Lillington Town-
ship, but that the same property is listed by the said Mrs. M.H. Bethea in Upper
Little river Township and has Veen so listed all the time and is now listed in that
township; and
Whereas, the said Mrs. M.H. Bethea has paid the taxes assessed against the
said property in Upper Little niver Township for the year 1931 and 1982, and all
other years, and has also paid taxes on the same property in Lillington Township
for the year 1931 and 1932; and
Whereas the assessed valuation for the year 1931n and 1932 in Lillington
Township was 43550.00; and
whereas the eai4 Mrs. M.H. °ethea has paid double taxes on the property
for 1931 and 1932 and sh:'uld therefore ne reimbursed for the taxes paid and
assessed agaihst the said property in Lillington Township;
Now therefore, be it resolved that the said Mrs. M.H. Bethea be reimbursed
taxes in the following amount on account of the said double taxation above referred
to:
1931- 161 acres valued at %3550
1932- 181 acres valued at 43550
Total

It is ordered that Messers I.R.Williams, County Attorney, J.S.MoLean,Oounty
Auditor and H.C.Strickj.and, Atty., be appointed as a committee to investigate and
ascertain the possibility and expediency of compromising and re- financing the
bonded indebtedness of Harnett County, or any part thereof, and to recommend to
the Commissioners methods which may be pursued to acomplish this result. The Com-
mittee will report its progress to the Board from time to time, but no expense
shall attach other than actual funds expended in connection Rat with the oommuni-
oations whioh may be had with the proper and interested parties.
RESOLUTION:
Resolved that the County of Harnett execute a quitclaim deed for the 9 acres
excepted in deed of trust from A.G.Blanchard and wife to I.R.Williama,Trustee for
County of Harnett and that the Chairman execute such deed to be attested by the
Clerk, said deed to be made to S.T. Proctor and Blanche Barbour, the present owners
of the said 9 acres.
RESOLUTION:
Be it resolved that the Resolution passed by the Board of Education per-
taining to the Coats School j53, said Resolution having been read to the Board,
and duly considered, it is therefore ordered that said Resolution be disapproved.

It having been brought to the attention of the Hoard of County Commissioners
are required according to law to sit as a Board of Equalization and Review it is
ordered that said Board convene on Monday, July 19, 1933 at 9 o'clook,A.M. and to
sit for five days for the purpose of hearing complaints as to unequal valuations.

Tax Districts Nos. 11,46,53,32,54,62,42, 51 and23 to use any balances accumu-
lating prior to July 1st. 1933 for the purpose of making improvements in the
said schools.
