142 May 1st. 1933. The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members prtsent: J.B.Ennis, Chairman, J.S. Barker ,E.L•Cooke,J.D•Byrd,H.M,OrQuinn ..Also present, I.R.Williams, County Attorney. It is ordered that Miss McQueen be requested to investigate the condition of the baby now being kept by Mr. Jack Matthews regarding the balance due Mr. Matthews for the keep of this child, etc. The petition of the Coats School School for a 415,000.00 loan for the pose of erecting additional school rooms was disapproved by the Board by the follow inn vote: Against pur- pose approval: of petition: Byrd, Barker and OrQuinn pproval: Cooke and Ennis It is ordered that petition for loan for Benhaven School be not approved. It is ordered that W.M. Keen be refuted 425.00 Beer Tax as he hasreliin- quished his license and did not open for business. It is ordered that Van W. Womack, col. U.L.R: Twp. be refunded 42.30 poll tax for the year 1932 on account of error in listing: It is ordered that the County of .Harnett charge 425.00 for license to peddle medicines, cosmetics, insecticide, toilet goods and that this order be retroactive as of June 30th. 1932. It is ordered that the resignation of Miss McQueen as Welafer Officer, be accepted and that the thanks of the Board be extended her for her services during the past. It is ordered that bids be received for laundry work at County Home and Jail for e period of twelve months on the 1st, Monday in June, 1933 for the period beginning June 12th. 1933 and ending June 12th. 1934. It is ordered that C.S. Lovin g be a ppointed Vice Recorder of the Recorders Court for the ensuing term on account of the resignation of H.L.Steele who was recently appointed. It is ordered that A.J. Collins be granted license to sell beer for one yea is ordered that report of J.L.MCLean, Auditor in regard to wreck caused by County truck be approved and that the following bills incurred be Paid: fir. A.W.Peede, 410.55: Northam Motor Company, 4109.99; The tixie Hotel, 433.00. RESOLUTION: Be it resolved that the lands of Mrs. M.M. McKay Estate in Lillington Township described in Book Q, page 4$9, teegistry of Harnett County, be reduced on the tax books from 800 acres of valuation. 418,870.00 to 539.52 acres of valuation of 413,170.00 on account of error in listing and in accordance with order of Commissioners of July 11, 1932 in Book 6, be it resolved that said lands of�MrsgeM6MM.
