December 28th. 1932.
The Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County met in adjourned session
with all members present: J.B.Ennia, Chairm n, E.L.Cooke, H.M. O*Quinn, J.D.
Byrd and J.S. Barker. I.R.Williams, Sounty Attorney was also present.
RESOLUTION: The following Nesolution was adopted.
Lt'a matting of the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, held on
the 28th. day of December, 19320 the following members were present, the same
being a quorum of said Board;
Messers Ennis,dooke, O*Quinn, Byrd and Barker
The Resolution was offered by Mi,. Gooke and seconded by Mr. Barker:
!Resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County:
(1) That for properly maintaining a six months school ter:pin Districts
/41,42 and 43 Buckhorn Township, White Race,Harnett dounty as required by article
1X, Section 3, of the Constitution of the State of north Carolina, it is necessary
that certain improvements be made therein of the following character:
Purchase site and erect building
(2) That in order to provide said improvements it is necessary that the sum
of Fifteen Thousand Sollars (415000.00) be obtained by borrowing the same, to be
used by the County Board of Education of Harnett County for said purpose.
(3) That the Board of County Commissioners of Harnett county does hereby
approve of and authorize the Spplication for, and procurement of, a loan for said
purpose from the State Literary Fund of the State of North Carolina, established
under Chapter Public Laws,192 and said Board does hereby authoriwd that all
necessary steps be taken to procure said loan under the terms of said statutes and
the rules and regulations of the State Board of education govering the making
of loans from said fund, and the Chairman and Secretary of this Board are hereby
authorized and empowered and direetedfor and on behalf of this Board to join with
the County Board of Education of Harnett County in making the necessary applaea
tion therefor, and to take such action under this reso;ution and under said sta-
tutes, rules and regulations as may be necessary for said purpose'!

It is 'ordered that the County Auditor be and he is hereby directed to prepare for
use of jailor and manager of County Home for aged and inform sheets showing daily
the number of persons confined in jail and number of inmates of the County Home,
the amount of rations on hand and the amount used each day- that said reports
to be computed each week and delivered to the County Auditor. The Jailor and
Manager of the County Home are instructed to file said reports as directed herein.
RESOLUTION: Resolved that the T.L. Reardon lots, 8 and 9, of Block 43 of Plat of
Town of "illington on M. Street now being foreclosed and sold to J.G. Layton be
after fisted for 1932 at valuation of 4100.00 and that said lots be released of
all Harnett County Taxes upon payment of the cum of 41.76 for 1932 and sum of 42.6
for 1931 and 42.64 for 1930 and 42.64 for 1929 and 42.64 for 1928; and auditor and
tax collector are authorized and directed to execute proper 'receipt of release upo
payment of said sums.

RESOLUTION: Be it resolved that the J.G. Layton lots 6,7,10 qnd 11 of Block 43
ofoPlat of Town of Lillington on M. Street be after listed for 1932 at valuation
of 4200.00 and that said lots be released of all Harnett (bounty Taxes upon pay-
ment of sums of 43.62 for 1932 and 45.28 for 1931 and 45.28 for 1930 and 45.28 for
1929 and 45.28 for 1928; and auditor and tax collector are authorized and directed
to execute proper release upon payment of said sums.

RESOLUTION: Be it resolved that the tax valuation of W.M.Wadsworth lots 1,2;3,4,5,
and 6 of Block 68 of Town of Lillington on M. Street be reduced from 4550.00 to
4330.00 for years 1931 and 1932 on account of error in listing. That credit be
given on 1932 taxes of 43.65 for the payment on said 4220.00 released in 1931 val
uation, the taxes for 1932 of 411.88 be credited with 1932 release of 43.87 and
1931 release of 43.65 or balance of 44.36. That the valuation of lots 1,2, and 3
of block 68 now being foreclosed and said to J.G. Layton be released of all 1932
taxes upon payment of 42.18, one half of balance due on 1932 taxes on said six
lots, the valuation of said lots 1 and 2 and 3 being fixed at 4165.00 and said
payment being one half of real estate and one half of personality.

*areas J4 kobt. Young has resigned as Judge of the Recorders Court of Dunn,
effective Deo. 31, 1932 and thereon E.F.Young has been appointed as Judge of
the Recorders Court of Dunn by hoard of tiommiasioners of Dunn to fill the un-
expired term for which J.E. Young was-ell sted.
Now, Therefore, be it resolved that the appointment of E.F.Young as Judge
of the Recorders Court of Dunn for the un- expired term for which J.R•Young was
elected be and the same is hereby in all respects confirmed.
The above resolution was introduced by Mr. OtQUinn and seconded by Mr. Cooke and
upon vote was unanimously adopted.
It is ordered that W.E.Salmon, Sheriff, proceed to Charrington, Va. for the pur-
pose of returning Tommy beach charged with abandonment and non - support, provided
.prisoner is willing to return without extradition papers.
It is ordered that A.F.Fowler be appointed Assistant Director of
Relief 'kind for Harnett bounty at a salary of $125.00 per month.
It is ordered that Mra. Ken Matthews be allowed $30.00 per month
and feeding prispmers confined in the County jail.
It is now ordered that the board adjourn eine Die.
