The Board of Commissioners of Harnett County met in call session with all members
present. Also I.R.W4lliams, County Attorney.
Itt was ordered that report of K.M. Chaffin, Clerk of the Superior Court be accepted
and filed and checks for 4176.07 and 4224.42 respectively be ordered turned over`to
the County Auditor
It is ordered that the CountyAndntor receive from J.0. West, former Cvu,,p�ty Attorney
all certificates of sale for non- payment of taxes on which suits have"bden startei
and deliver the same to I.R..Wjliiams,present Cour,laefittorney and be it further ordered
that I.R.Williams be ordered ta. , proceed to inveatzigete suits on said certificates
at once.

indicated by the official title opposite our names, do hereby certify that we did
on the 1st. day of December, 1931 officially sign 470,000.00 Funding Bonds of
Harnett County, North Carolina, denomination 410006000 each dated Sept. 1st. 1931,
interest 5e, per centum per annum, payable March lst. and Sept. 1st, said ponds
bbe±gg numbered and payable as follow:. viz: Numbered from 1 to 70, inclusive, and
maturing in numerical order, beginning with bond No 1, as follows:
42000.00 on the first day of September in each of the years 1933 to 1943, bojh in-
clusive, and 43000.00 on the first dajc of September in eacg of the years 1944 to
1959, both inclusive, being at the date ofmsuch signature and on and on this
day of Se pt. 1931, the date of the actual delivery of said bonds to the purchaser
the duly choses, qualified and acting officers indicated therein and authorized to
execute the same.
We further certify that no litigation of any nature is now pending or threat-
ning restraining or enjojn,;°xg the issuance and delivery of said bonds or the levy
and collection of taxes to pay the principal and interest, nor in any manner ques-
tioning the proceedings and authority under which the same is made or affecting
the validity of the bonds thereunder; that neither the Corporate existence or bound
aries nor the title of the present officers to their respective offices is being
contested and that no authority or proceedings for the issuance of said bonds have
brrn repealed, revoked or rescinded.
The fac- simile signature of Edwin Harrington, Clerk of Board of County Cpm-
missioners is upon the coupons of said bonds and the corporate seal of the County
of Harnett is impressed on all said bonds.

agents, the purchase price of 470,000.00 Funding bonds of Harnett County State of
North Carolina, dated Sept. lat. 1931, bearing interest at the rite of 5ES per
oentum per annum, payable semi - annually March 1st. and Sept. 1st. denomination of
41000.00 and numbered and payable as follows, vizL Numbered from 1 to 70,inclusive,
and maturing in their numerical order as Yailax beginning with Bond No 1 as follows:

Harnett County, N.C. hereby certify that I received from the purchasers, or their
agents or assigns, the purchase price of 460,000.00 School Funding Bonds of Harnett
County, State of North Carolina, dated Sept. 1st. 1931, bearing interest at the
rate of 5i% per annum, payable semi - annually and numbered and payable as follows,
viz: Numbered from 1 to 60 inclusive and maturing in their numerical order, begin -
nin with Bond No 1 as follows:
2000.00 on the first day of September in each of the years 1933 tO 1953, both
inclusive, and
43000.00 on the first day of September, in each of the years 1954 to 1959, both
inclusive.
The date of delivery was 1931.
All matured coupons were detached from said bonds prior to delivery thereof. All
unmatured coupons were attached thereto at the time of delivery.
I further certify that J.W. Halford.Chairman, Board of County Commissioners, and
Edwin Harrington, Clerk, Board of County Commissioners, the officers who signed

The Board of County Commissionersof Harnett County, North Carolina, Lilling-
ton, N.C.met in call session at the Court House in the Town of Lillington, N.C. on
the 1st. day of December, 1931, the following members being present:
. J.W. Halford, Chairman, H.S. O'Quinn, member, E.L. Cooke, member, J.H.Williams
Jr, member J.B. Ennis, Member, Edwin Harrington, Clerk.
WHEREAS, the 470,000.00 Funding bonds of Harnett County, North Carolina, au-
thorized onAugust 25th. 1931, have been duly sold to Strannahan,Harris and Cograny
Inc. of Toledo, Ohio, at par and accrued interest for bonds bearing 50 per annum,
payable semi-annually;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the bonds of be signed by the duly author-
ized officers of this Board as heretofore authorized and orcered and that J.S.Mc-
Lean be authorized and directed to take said bonds to Raleigh, N.C. to be endorsed
by the Local Government °Commission and then shipped by the State Treasurer to The
Chase National Bank,Alw# New York 3ity, for delivery to Strennahn,Harria and Co.Inc
of Toledo, Ohio, with branoh offices at 115 Brofdway, New York City, at the purchase
price of par and accrued interest thereon from September 1st. 1931, which is in
acoordance with the sale of this Board to said firm.
On motion of Mr. J.B. Ennis, seconded by Mr. E.L. Cooke, the foregoing resolution
gas adopted by the following roll -call vote, to -witl

The Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, North Qarolina, met in
galled session at the Court House in the Town of Lillington, N.0 on the let. day of
December, 1931, the following members being present: •
J.W. Halford, Chairman, H.M.O'QUinn, member, E.L. Cooke, member, J.H. Williams,Jr.
member, J.B. Ennis, member, Edwin Harrington, Clerk.
WHEREAS, the $60,000.00 School Funding Bonds of Harnett County, North Carolina,
authorized on August 25th. 1931, have been duly sold to Stranahan,Harris and Company
Inc. of Toledo, Ohio, at par plus accrued interest for bonds bearing 5-2%0 per annum
payable samiahnually;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. that the bonds be signed by the duly authorized
officers of this Board as heretofore subscribed and ordered, and that J.S. McLean be
authorized and directed to take said bonds to Raleigh, N.C. to be endorsed by the Lo-
cal GovernmentCommission and then shipped tbythe State Treaurer to The Chase National
Sank, New York City, for delivery to Strannahan,Harris and Company, Inc, of Toledo,
Ohio, with branch offices at 115 Broadway, New York City, at the purchase price of
per and accrued interest theron from Sept. 1st. 1931, which is in accordance with the
Hale of this Board to said firm.
On motion of Mr. J.H. Williams,Jr, seconded by Mr. H.M. O'Quinn, the foregoing
resolutuon was adopted by the following roll -call vote, to -wit:
