TheBoard of Commissioners met in regular session Monday, at 10 o'clock A.M.
May 4,1942 with J.B.Ennis,Chairman,L.R. Byrd, Ferd D.Jackson and Angus A.Cameron
present and R.L. Pate absent. Also present H.C.Strickland,County Attorney, and
Inez Harrington Clerk to the Board.
The monthly report of Howard Godwin,C.S.C., was presented, approved and
ordered filed.
The monthly report of Inez Harrington,Register of Deeds, was presented,
approved and ordered filed.
The monthly report of Lola OtQuinn,delinquent tax collector, was presented,
approved and ordered filed.
The monthly report of W.D.Harrington,tax collector, was presented, approved
and ordered filed.
The report of the Adminstrator for Harnett County Hospital for March 1942
was presented, approved and ordered filed.
C.R.Ammons & T.D.O'Quinn,County Agents were authorized to sell the County
Tractor to N.C. Equipment Co.Raleigh for the sum of $1500.00.
It is ordered that Mrs.Tenzie Douglass of Upper Little River Twp. be allowed
Hospitalization at Sanatorium for an indefinate length of time.
It is ordered that Mrs.S.J.Cain of Anderson Creek Twp. be admitted to
County Home as an in -mate.
It is ordered that Miss Betsy Reid of Lillington Township be admitted to
County Home as in -mate.

Ferguson and acquired by Harnett County and the Town of Dunn at a tax foreclosure
sale under Judg. #2057 -A -1099 be sold to Thomas R.Hood,Dunn,N.C. for the sum
of $550. on the following terms $100. cash w ith this offer and $18. per month
for $25. consecutive months due and payable on the 30th day of each month. 6% r,
interest on unpaid balance to be paid as stated below. Being 2 lots Nos. 13 and
14 as described in that deed of M.L.Jackson and wife,Minnie Jackson to T.T.
Ferguson dated October 30,1923 and recorded in Book No.206 at page 177. Size of
lots shown in Map Book No. 3 at page 16 to be 25 x.195 feet each. The Chairman
of the Board is hereby authorized to execute deed to Thomas R.Hood and the

Be it resolved that the property formerly listed to Callie M.Barber and
acquired by Harnett County at a tax foreclosure sale under Judg.#1695 -A -819
be sold to Lucille Harmon Jackson for the sum of $100. cash. Beginning at a ✓
stake in the center of the public road leading from Dunn by Wiley Godwin's 2
chns. from inhere his line crosses said road and runs as the road N. 14 E. 2.27
chs. to J.H.Beasley's corner in said road, thence as his line S. 66 E. 2.75
chns. to an iron pin another of his corners, thence S.14 W. 2.27 chsns. to a
stake,thence N. 66 W. 2.78 to the beginning, containing 65/100 of an acre.
The Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to execute deed to Lucille Harmon
Jackson and the Clerk will attest the same.
