Whereas, Jackson Townsend, mortgagee, filed an answer and a cross action
against his co- defendant, Town of Dunn, as will appear by reference to the
judgment roll, in which answer and cross - action Jackson Townsend, mortgagee,

Whereas, in January 1939, the supervisor of taxation, after - listed the said

Now, Therefore, it is ordered that the acts of J.S.Mcikean, Tax Supervisor,
in after - listing the said property for the years 1934, 1935, 1936, 1937 and 1938
at a valuation of $1,000.00, be and the same is hereby approved; that in behalf

In this action, the Grand Jury at this Term, has returned a True Bill

be drawn from Harnett County in accordance with the provisions of -C.S. 473.
IT IS NOW, THEREFORE, BY THE COURT ORDERED,- ADJUDGED AND DECREED that the
Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners for the County of Harnett shall
immediately cause to be drawn from the regular jury box of said county by a

qualified jurors in said county, and that the Sheriff of Harnett County shall
summon the jurors who are so drawn to be and appear at the court house in
Pittsboro, N.C. at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, October the7th. 1939, to be examined as
prospective jurors and to serve as Jurors in this case if selected.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a certified copy of this Order under the hand
and seal of the Clerk of this court shall be immediately taken by the Sheriff
of Chatham County, or his lawful deputy, to the Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners of Harnett County, and that a certified copy of the same under the
hand and seal of the Clerk of this Court also shall be taken immediately to the
Sheriff of Harnett County to the end that they may proceed with the drawing and
summoning of the jury, as directed in this Order. After skid jurors have been
drawn from the box a list of the same shall be prepared by the Chairman of the
Board of County Commissioners of Harnett County, or by some one under his
direction, and be delivered to the Sheriff of Harnett County. A copy of said
list so drawn shall be returned to this Court by the Sheriff of Harnett County
immediately after he has summoned said jurors, with his return thereon,
showing which of said jurors he has summoned, and which of than, if any, he has
not summoned, together with his reasons for not doing so.
The drawing of said jurors from the box shall be done in the courtroom in
Lillington, Harnett County, North Carolina, at which drawing the Solicitor,
counsel for the defendant and any other interested persons who desire to do so
may be present, but this provisions creates no obligation upon the part of the
Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, or of the Sheriff of Harnett
County to notify any of said parties.
