Whereas: A serious water shortage has developed at the Coats,

Whereas: The Board of Education -is of the opinion that unless
steps are taken to remedy this emergency situation it will be
impossible to operate the schools on a safe and sanitary manner,
and
Whereas; this need has arisen since the adoption of the school

new buildings, and therefore the budget is not sufficient to
provide for the neeessary relief of this water shortage, and
Whereas; The Board of Education estimates that $6,500.00 will

the need therefor was not known at the tire said budget was adopted, and there are
insufficient funds in said budget to permit the improvement of said water situation;
and
Whereas, it appears that the elimination of said water shortage at the affected
schools is imperative and necessary in order to enable said schools to be operated
as by law required and it is the opinion of' the Board of Commissiore r that such an
expenditure as may be necessary in order to eliminate said water shortage, not to
exceed however, the sum of $6500. should be made for the purpose of remedying this
emergency condition;
