Upon motion of Commissioner Gregory, seconded by Commissioner Fields, the
following resolution was unanimously adopted
Whereas an order was heretofore ented on June 5, 1950, directing that notice of
public hearing upon the petition for the establishment of a Sanitary District in
East Erwin be published in the Dunn Dispathh for four consecutive weeks, said
notice to provide, among other things, that said public hearing would be held
on Friday, July 7 and;
Whereas, said notice was delivered to the Dunn Dispatch with instructions to the
effect that it be run therein for four consecutive weeks, and through an oversight
the same was run for only one week, with the result that notice of said hearing was
not Liven as required by law and that it is therefore necessary to set a new date
for said public hearing and advertise the same by the publication of notice as by
law required;
Now therefore, it is unanimously ordered that the public hearing on said petition
be held in the Courthouse in Lillington, North Carolina, on Tuesday, Sept 5, 1950,
at 11 o'clock A. M., and that notice of said hearing be published in the Dunn
Dispatch for four consecutive weeks preceding the date of said hearings.
