April. 1A47 The Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, April 7, 1947, with Angus A Cameron, L A Tart, Ferd D Jackson, and L R Byrd, R L Pate was absent. The County Atty., Clerk to Loard and Auditor were present. The Board of Commissioners ordered that the sale of the land advertised by Harnett County to be sold b;• public auction today at 12 :00 noon be postponed and sold at 12 :0Q noon May 5th, 1947. The following road petitions were ap -roved and ordered forwa ed to the State High- way and Puulic Work Commission. (1) That a road be built from the highway between Erwin N C and Bunnlevel, N.C., Stetting at a point near the residence of 'iim. T. McNeill and running to Free Will Bethel Church a distaz ce of about 30u yards. (2) That the road leading from the Angier Matthews Mill Road, at a point about one half mile south of the home of J R ing, and running east to the Angier Buies Creek old road at a point at the home of Charles H Nordan by way of T T Newton's and Glenn Hartts and others, be worked and improved, and put on system. (3) than an all weather road to be constructed from Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church west to the top of the hill near the bridge which spans Hector's Creek, and which point is about one fourth mile west of C L Melvin's residence the same being a distance of about one and one half miles. (4) "Citizens from Buckhorn township appeared before the Board of Commissioners with a request for an ell weather road in Buckhorn Township, which was approved by the Board of Commissioners and described as follows: For the construction of an all weather road from Duncan to the Chatham County line by the Macedonia Community toward Corinth along the Original Ridge Road." It appearing that beginning with the audit of 1941 of the County and having been bought foward continously since, the old age assistance fund shows an error of $6.00 and an error in the aid to Dependent childred fund of .!9.00 which amounts should be charged to surplus amounts of the respective funds for purposes of accuunttng: It is therefore ordered that the sum of ;j6.00 be charged to the surplus amount of Old Age Assistance Fund, and that the sum of 9.00 be charged to the surplus account aid to Dependent Children Fund, thereby reconciling the respective accounts.
