J B Ennis was absent on account of illness. The report of Inez Harrington, Register of Deeds was approved and ordred filed. The report of W D Harrington, Rax Collector, was approved and ordered filed. The report of Howard Godwin, Clerk Superior Court was approved and ordered filed. Beer licence were issued to: Lee Roy Faison, on the premises of Mrs 'Marion C Butler. To: John Allen Smith, Coats N C at Smith Air Coats, To :Clayton Stewart, 'oats N C #1 North of Coa of Dr, C G Fuquay. Dunn, N C on Highway 301 going South Port on Raleigh Highway North of is on Angier Highway on premises A report of the Grand Jury was read and ordered filed. It appearing to the "oard of Commissioners of "arnett County that the Grand Jury has made recommendation that certain improvements, renovations, etc., be made to the County Jail, and that the foregoing renovations and items of equipment are reasonable necessary or concerned in by the Jailor and Sheriff; It is ordered that the above mentioned equipment be purchased and the improvement be made. It appearing to the Board of Commissioners of "arnett County that, c®nditioned upon the services of an assistant libraian being obtained for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1946, the appropriation by the County of Harnett for library service was increased for the fiscal year 1945 -1946 from 81800 to 4,12400, and it now appearing that because during the one and only year ended7June 30, 1946 and increase of appropriation so conditionally was made, the State Library Commission has indicated that, or only $1800 was appropriated by the County for the fiscal. year 1946 -1947 the State allocation to Harnett County might be reduced by the extent of 51835: Be it therefore resolved, that if the allocation by the State as aforesaid for the fiscal year 1946 -1947 should properly and justly be reduced to "arnett County, that from miscellaneous Revenues levied the Harnett County Budget for saidyear be increased from 81800 to 52400 (the same that it was during the fiscal year 1945 -1946) Recommendation having been made by Ga) rge G Scott Company Certified Public Accoun- tants that the items appearing below and carried as accounts receivable by the County be charged offm and it further appearing that the last item listed below was paid; It is thereupon ordered that the following items be and the same are hereby charged off, so they will not recur andbe reflected in future accountings.
