Godwin, Dunn, North Carolina as principal (hereinafter called principal), and the Maryland Casuality Company, a corporation of the State of = +aryland, having its Principal office in the City of Baltim,re, Maryland, as Surety(hereinafter called Surety), are held firmly bound unto W. NOW, THEREFORE, if the said erincipal shall, during the term of this bond, well and faithfully perform all and singular duties incumbent upon him by reason of his appointment as said Deputy Tax Collector, except as hereinafter limited, and honestly account for all moneys coming into his hands as said Deputy Tax Collect- or, according to the law then this obligation shall be null and void; i t is other- wise to be and remain in full force and virtue. THIS BOND is executed by the Surety upon the following express condition, which shall be a condition precedent to the right of recovery hereunder; IT IS MUTUALLY UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED BETWEEN ALL PARTIES HERETO that if the Surety shall so elect, this bond may be cancelled by giving :thirty (30) days' notice in writing to the said W. L. Harrington, Tax Collector, Harnett County, North Carolina and this bond shall be deemed cancelled at the expiration of said thirty (30) days, the said Surety remaining liable for all or any act or acts covered by this bond, which may have been committed by the Principal up to the date of such cancellation, under the terms, conditions and provisions of this bond, and the Surety shall, upon surrender of this bond and its release from all liability thereunder, refund the premium paid, less a pro rata part &hereof, for the time this bond shall have been in force. Grimes Coats : ; 1 Grove Benson ail Grove It having been called to the attention of the Board of Commissioners by the Grand Jury that it is deemed expedient to define a liquor still for the purpose of paying for the capture of stills: It is, therefore, determined that for the purpose of paying for the capture of illicit liquor stills, a still shall be defined to be the entire metal bottom and the two circular frames supporting the top cf the "Submarine" type of still, and at least the top portion of all other types of stills, together with the worm and cap, when possible to capture said worm and cap. It is further ordered that, as each captured still inay be brought in, it shall be segregated from other stills, and the name or names of tie officer or officers making the capture, and the location of the still when captured, shall be shown on a tag attached to each of the said liquor stills. The County Attorney is authorized and directed to consent to a judgment in favor of the County of Harnett against the estate of 0. P. Shell and Mrs. 0. P. Shell (Callie A. Shell) Whereby the county shall recover judgment in the amount of $3.000.00 against Henry 0. Shell, Administer of 0. P. Shell, deceased, and Mrs. 0. P. Shell ( Callie A. Shell) in full satisfaction of taxes allegely due piantiff by the late 0. P. Shell and Mrs. 0. P. Shell ( Callie A. Shell) for the year 1944 and all years prior thereto.
