Also present were County Attorney and the Clerk to Board. It is ordered that the amount of 225. per month plus $20.00 bonus allowed for the salary of the Sanitoriam office for Harnett County as reouired by State office. It is ordered that property listed to A.J.Matthews in Grove Township be released on account of error in listing. The report of W.D.Harr.ngton,Tax Collector was approved and ordered filed. The report of Inez Harrington,Register of Deeds was approved and ordered filed. The report of Ho',<.ard Godwin,C.S.C. was approved and ordered filed. Bond with the Maryland Casualty Company for Charlie Hill Thornton in the amount of $1000.in favor of William D.Harrington,Tax Collector was approved and ordered filed with William D.Harrington. Upon the incoming of the Freeman,former county Auditor C.P.A., of Charlotte,N.C. the 31,1944 and his accounts were The report of the Grand approved and ordered filed. Report on the Audit of the affairs of Mr•H.S. and Tax Supervisior, by messrs.Geo.Scott & Co., same was examined and found correct as of July found satisfactory and in proper condition. Jury for the term of September,1944 was read, It is ordered that Roscoe (Rock) Smith(Col.) be relieved of poll tax from 1934 to 1943 and permantley on account of Physical disability. Be it resolved that the property formerly listed to Geo.W. Williams,and acquired at a tax foreclosure sale under judgment number 1931 A 929 be sold to George W.Williams for the following sum of $150. on terms of $60. cash and not less than $10.00 per month until the unpaid balance of $90.00 and interest has been fully paid. Payments are due and payable on the 25th day of each month. The first payment being due on the 25th day of October 1944. The Chairman of the Board of Commissionersis hereby authorized to execute deed and the Clerk to the Board will attest same. Be it resolved that the property formerly listed to McKay McNeill, and acquitted at a tax foreclosure sale under judgment 2012 -A -167 be sold to Allie Elliott for the sum of $150. and being Lots #53, and #54 Jonesboro road aril Townsend sub - division. The Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to execute deed to Alley jlliott and the Clerk to the Board will attest same. Be it resolved that that property formerly listed to Joseph T.Smith and acquired at a tax foreclosure sale under Judgment No.1861 -A -893 be sold to Beatrice Gay Smith for the sum of $175. with $100. cash and not less thatn $10. per month until the balance of $75. and interest is paid. Payments are due and payable on the 25th day of each month.
