The Board of Commissioners met in a call session on Monday, July 17 at 10 :00
A.M. with all members present.
It is ordered a refund $2.36 be allowed M.M,Johnson for taxes paid in error on
property in Averasboro Township. yrs. 1942 -43.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That Clarence Egerett Moore of Coats Sttte of North Carolina hereinafter called
the Principal; and the Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York, hereinafter
called the Surety, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of New York,
with its home office in the ity of New York, in the said State, are held and firmly
bound unto Board of Commissioners of Harnett County State of North Carolina hereinafte
called the Obligee, in the sum of ONE 'THOUSAND AND N0 /100 $1000.00 Dollars for the
Payment whereof to the obligee the rrincipal binds himself, his heirs, executors,
administrators, and assigns, and the Surety binds itself, its successors and
assigns, jointly and severally firmly by these presents.
Signed, sealed, and dated this 15th day of July,1944.
WHEREAS, the above named principal has been duly appointed or elected to the offic
of Constable of the County of Harnett State of North Carolina for the term of office
beginning On July 3,1944 and ending on December 4,1944
NOW, THEREFORE, the condition of the foregoing obligation is such, that if the
Principal shall faithfully perform such duties as may be imposed on him by law and
shall honestly account for all money that may come into his own hands in his official
capacity during the -said term, then this obligation shall be void; otherwise it shall
remain in force; provided, however, that the Surety shall not be liable hereunder for
any loss of public money deposited by or in behalf of the Principal with any bank when
such loss is occasioned by the failure of such bank faithfully to account for and pay
over such money on legal demand; any law, decision, or statute to the contrary not-
withstanding.

Be it resolved by the board cf Commissioners of Harnett County that the
following budget, for the fiscal year 1944 -45, be and the same is hereby
adopted and the tax levy for the s aid fiscal year is hereby appropriated:

Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County that there shall
be and there is hereby levied and assessed against all taxable property within the
County of Harnett, t axes at the respective rates as set forth below for the use
of the County, per $100 valuation of said property, for the fiscal year 1944 -45:
