June 23,1944
The Board of Commissioners met in a call session on Friday June 23, -":at -11:00
o'clock A.M. with all members present also present were the County Attorney and
the Clerk to Board.
Beer license were granted to Mrs.J.L.Moore at Dixie Grill 1 mile from Coats.
It is-ordered-that an increase -of $200; tie "allowed Dept. of Conservation
and Development for year 1944 and 45 making a total of $1300. allowed for this work.
Bond in amount of $1000.00 for Vance Cameron recently appointed constable
for Barbecue Township.

KNOW ALL MEN BY P±Th SE PRESENTS: That Vance Cameron, of Olivia; State of
North Carolina; hereinafter called-the Principal, and H.C.Cameron, of Olivia,
North Carolina, and R.A.Cameron, " "of Jonesboro, R#1, North Carolina; hereinafter
cal]ed the Sureties, are held and firmly bound unto the Board of Commissioners
of Harnett County,State of North Carolina, hereinafter called the obligee in the
sum of $1000.00 for the payment thereof to the - "obligee "the" " Principal "binds himself,
his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns and the each surety binds
himself, his executors, administrators and assigns jointly and severaly firmly
by these presents.
Signed, sealed, and dated this 20th day of June,1944:"
WHEREAS, the above limed Principal has been duly elected to the Office of
Constable of. Barbecue Township, of °Harnett County, North Carolina, for the term
of office beginning on June 13 ,1944 "and ending ont he 4th day of "December,1944.
NOW, THEREFORE, The condition of" the "foregoing obligation is such that if the
Principal shall well and faithfully perform such duties that shall be imposed on
him, according to law, and shall honestly account for all money that shall come
into his hands by reason of his - "election "or "appointment to the said office,
then this obligation shall be null and void; otherwise, it will remain in full
force and effect.
