HomeMy WebLinkAbout0703196149T JULY 3rd. 1961 The Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday July 3rd. at 10:00 A. M. with all members present. Also present were the County Attorney, the Auditor and the Clerk to the Board. The following reports of the various offices were filed: Elizabeth Matthews Kyle Harrington W H Stewart Inez Harrington L B McLean D P Ray Ray Thomas and Ken Black B H Sellers Clerk Superior Court Clerk Recorders Court Sheriff Register of Deeds Veterans Service officer Tax Collector Dog Wardens Electrical Inspector The Board ordered that the County Health Department Building be Air Conditioned, the cost not to exceed $500.00 above 1960 Budget. Bond in amount of $35,000.00 with D. P. Ray, Tax Collector, as Principal was approved and ordered filed with Clerk Superior Court. ( petition mailed) (3) To add to the syastem that road known as Susan Tart Road a distance of 1 -4/10 miles in Averasboro Twp. Commissioner Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner Warren, that the garnishee fee used in the collecting of Harnett County taxes be set permanently at $1.00 beginning July 1, 1961. Motion carried.
