JULY 3rd. 1961
The Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday July 3rd. at
10:00 A. M. with all members present. Also present were the County Attorney,
the Auditor and the Clerk to the Board.
The following reports of the various offices were filed:

The Board ordered that the County Health Department Building be Air Conditioned,
the cost not to exceed $500.00 above 1960 Budget.
Bond in amount of $35,000.00 with D. P. Ray, Tax Collector, as Principal was
approved and ordered filed with Clerk Superior Court.

The Following Road Petitons Were Approved:
(1) To pull up that dead end road # 1109 to road # 2019 a distance of
2 miles to road # 2019.
(petition given to Com. Cameron for presentation)
(2) To add to State Maintained Secondary Road system that road in
Averasboro Township known as the Casper Tart Ro.dd a distance of 12 miles.

(3) To add to the syastem that road known as Susan Tart Road a distance
of 1 -4/10 miles in Averasboro Twp.
Commissioner Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner Warren, that the
garnishee fee used in the collecting of Harnett County taxes be set permanently
at $1.00 beginning July 1, 1961. Motion carried.
The 1961 -62 Budget resolution was presented to the Board and acceptedcon tentativ
