HomeMy WebLinkAbout06151961487 JUNE 15th. 1961 The Board of Commissiones met in a call session on Thursday, June 15th., with all members present. Also present were the County Auditor mid the Clerk to Board. Commissioner Cameron moved, seconded by Commissioner Byrd, that Thomas Glasby be named Superintendent of County Courthouse Buildings and Grounds. Motion carried. The following appointments were made: D. P. Ray, Tax Collector for a term of 1 year Berles Johnson, Tax Supervisor for a term of 1 year The Board ordered all county offices closed on Tuesday, July 4th. The Board studied the budgets of the many county offices as presented by the heads of the various offices. Commissioner Byrd moved, seconded by Commissioner Cameron, that the employees in the welfare department be granted no increased in salary without first having the approval of the members of the Board of Public Welfare and the members of the Board of the county commissioners. Motion carried. The Board recessed to reconvene on Thur/ ay at 2:00 P. M. Chairman Clerk to Board (over)
